Has anyone added a cruise to an 07 Uly or found some thing they like. Carpel Tunnel is limiting me and I need a away around it |

I don't use a cruise control on my Uly but the "throttle rocker" I use relieves my wrist just fine. |

+1 on throttle rocker. Inexpensive, easy to install and it just works. |

I have the Vista Universal Cruise Control on my Uly. Got it from Aerostich. http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/Universal-Vist a-Cruise-Control-p-17004.html It looks like the bar end types are considerably more expensive. The Vista model works fine and does the trick for the limited amount of time you can realistically use one of these things. |

I'm with Tipsy - KAOKO. More expensive but bullet proof & 6 oz bar ends included. You can also now screw those hand guards into the bar ends instead of the chinsy snap on stock arrangement. (dont forget the locktite) Vista is pretty good for the price - but the one on my KLR is finicky about adjustment. Either way a 'cramp buster' is still a must have...throttle lock or not. |

I was riding one day wishing I had one of the aforementioned devises. I stopped at a auto parts store and bought a 1 1/4" X 1/8" o-ring for a stop gap measure. It works fine and is very cheap. I'll probably pick up a fancier cruise control in the future. For now, this will do. throttle lock "off"
throttle lock "on"
Notes: the throttle control is easily over-ridden. Sorry for the lousy pics. Road Kill |

My Uly has a throttle lock on it of some sort it is a vista cruise one...it is similar to the link above but only has the one latch piece that crimps onto your throttle tube and is screwed into the switch assembly. I would recommend this setup it works nicely. Its easy to install; all you have to do is trim grip, install around throttle tube, screw one small screw into switch assembly and lock down, adjust and ride. |

The Kaoko is a great device. It is totally adjustable on the fly - if you want a throttle lock it can be that for sure, but you can also use it to just add some friction. |

Greenman44: I couldn't get this setup to work with a MY'08 with heated grips. What year is your bike? I was concerned with "modifying" the grips on the '08. I had the exact setup as you on the '06. No luck on the '08. |

Has anybody installed one of these Vista throttle locks like Greenman44 on a Uly equiped with the heated grips? |
