and if they don't wave back I chalk them up as a miserable person. At least they aren't codependant with low self-esteem. |

waving aside, out in California, once at the stoplight a guy on some sportbike model of BMW looked over at Me with a big grin and thum's up and hollered "love it" ..."nothing like a big inch twin sportbike" and when the light turned green we were both roaring away. Now as far as waving goes, if I ran into this guy somewhere like a food establishment or just at a rest stop, I'm sure we'd have had all sorts of conversation and things in common, he was born happy, so all the sour people out there who don't wave, really...so what, probably wouldn't want their company anyway, ya think... |

If I can't return a wave I nod my head. When I give a wave, I consider it my gift to the other rider - doesn't matter to me what he/she does with it. I enjoy it, regardless - just a way of sharing that expansive feeling I have when riding. Jack |

Sometimes I'm paying attention to traffic or shifting/braking and notice far too late I was waved. I wish waving was only popular to warn of police or on empty two lane country roads. |

What the Heck kind of charging system do you have to have on a scooter to rock that many lights? Or is the motor just hooked up to a big a$$ alternator? R |

I only wave back when waved to. I notice that when it is nice out and lots of bikes around, hardly any waves. However, when it is cold or raining, I usually get a wave. |

All smiles... Just got back from a nice country ride. A few miles out I was laid out in a curve and noticed 2 Goldwings coming my way. I gave them the extended arm wave the whole way through the curve. They almost ran off the road with mouths wide open as I passed. If I only had a camera. |

"Winter Wave Project 2008" I have decided to make some modifications to my wave for next riding season. Here's what I plan to do... Items Needed: Table Tennis "Ping Pong" Paddle, Paint, Velcro. I plan on making a velcro addition to my left thigh on my riding pants so that I can affix a paddle to it when I ride. I am going to paint a smiley face on this paddle. I also thought about a wavey hand, or a thumbs up. So instead of the traditional wave... fellow riders will be delighted to see a paddle that will bring joy and happiness to all who bear witness to it. Surely everyone will wave then...right? lol |

Geforce, thats a good idea, and my Aerostich has velcro on it already for an accessory map holder. I will try it |

You're only seeing half the potential here! The Yin- to that Yang- is an alternative message on the other side... Positive/Negative reinforcement, etc, etc... Rob |
