A couple of days ago, my clutch started to engage right at the grip, where it use to engage out about an inch or so. Not only is it causing this problem, but it stalls often when down shifting. It has fast become a dangerous and problematic for operation. Today, I am changing the oil to see if maybe I have too much oil in case or the oil is spent viscosity wise to do it's proper job. My HD Sin-3 oil has 1500 miles on it, so I don't believe it is caused by that. Anyone else experiencing the same symptoms??? | ||

Check the clutch fluid level in your master cylinder and also make sure you don't have any leaks. Sounds more like the hydrolics than the clutch itself. Might also check the vacuum assist. | ||

Dang! Today I realized three things. 1st - I was checking the fluid level through the glass port while the bike was on my driveway slope. (Oops!) 2nd - Always check this clutch fluid resrvoir while bike is standing straight up. 3rd - Check frequently to see if the fluid is leaking from the clutch cover on right side of bike. (whatever!) Anyway, I opened cover, fixed filler bubble and poured some DOT4 fluid to cover the top of glass port. She now rides like brand new. What was I thinking!? | ||

If your clutch is leaking fluid it won't be long before filling the resivoir becomes a daily necessity. Get the bike in for the 09 slave kit. | ||

Is this clutch leaking and 09 slave kit a warranty issue? or will I be required to pay for these repairs? Thank you | ||

It is warranty as long as you didn't do anything to modify the setup, like change lines, etc. | ||

Why would changing lines make a difference if the leak is from some place else than the line???? Would changing the clutch line make it leak from the "weep" hole? Froggy are you hearing something different than us? What has been your experience with the 1125 series? | ||

Thank you! They ordered my kit for the kickstand spring and dip stick, so now I have yet another reason to bring it back. This last Saturday was flash #3 and the two rear turn signal lamps. I think HD will be setting up a cot for me to sleep on. | ||

Ccryder I was using that as an example. If you modify something and it causes an issue with the bike, good luck getting it warrantied. | ||
