How many DUIs and vehicular manslaughter convictions did you have to get to qualify for those rates! |

Hahaha, none! No DUI's no manslaughter. Just some speeding tickets. I tried with Dairyland and they quoted me $1849.00 a year. I don't understand the huge difference! |

If you own it, just drop the collision. That's what I did. |

no i tried to go to my progressive people, i get my car insurance through progressive, but the best deal they could give me for the 1125r was 5,800+ per year for full coverage with one speeding ticket in 3 years. the best deal i could find was through nationwide for 900 a year. the only reason i got such a good deal with them was because none of the buells had been added to their list of sportbikes which they don't insure. |

I had full coverage for my 05 XB at $900 with a dui and speeding ticket. Progressive is definetly a great company if you get into trouble on your bike as I found out. The day I called them they handed me a check for more than I was expecting for my bike plus they didn't even look up my aftermarket parts prices. I just told them what everything was worth (helmet, jacket, gloves, plus my D&D pipe and rizoma mirrors) and they wrote me a check. Plus they had no problem handling the medical bills. I had to change companies though after the wreck because they quoted me at $4k for an 1125r. I went with Grange insurance for $2200 full coverage, and that price was probably so low due to the fact they douldn't find the 1125r as Daarc said and just went off the displacement. |

I seem to remember that Dairyland/sentry had a reasonable rate for the 1125R. I remember hearing something about them being involved in the design in order to get the rates down. http://www.sentry.com/DairylandInsurance/Default.a spx Can't hurt. I use Geico. Sentry was cheaper than Geico, but since I already had a policy with Geico I did not have to front the down payment, just adjust my rates. I also like to do all my stuff online annd Sentry did not have that option. here is another thread on the same topic. http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/392638.html?1221259319 Mike (Message edited by kttemplar on October 16, 2008) (Message edited by kttemplar on October 16, 2008) (Message edited by kttemplar on October 16, 2008) |

When I got a quote from State Farm, they were WAAAAAYYYYYYY out of the park. I went with progressive. If St. Fm. has gotten their act together, I would rather go with them. R |

I have Dairyland for my bike, and it's $430 per year. Came in at $390 per year for PA state minimum full coverage, but I added some other options. EDIT: I am interested to see if Dairyland stays low as the 1125 models are around a while. My insurance paperwork lists it as a "Buell XB 1125 Firebolt", so I caould see it possibly going up if they realize it's a completely different bike from the XB models. What big quotes you have, said the big bad insurance wolf. Boy does it save to have a GREAT driving record! To all who are paying out the ass.... Take a defencive driving course, pass it 80% or better, fax copy to ins. Pigs. And voloa' instant savings. Also every 2yrs do it again. What it does (at lesat in GA.) erases points, shows u care, responcible, etc. Then try st.farm. Mine is 286.47 every 6mos. 25/50/25 w uninshured e-thing. Be safe! |

Any of you try getting a quote through Harley Insurance. They Shop you through five companies, Dairyland, Foremost, Progressive, and two others. Def worth a try though, mine came back 590 per year 29 with clean driving record, MC endorsement. 1.800.832.4449 ext 4971 They were really easy to work with and open seven days a week. |

State Farm is great here in CA IF you have 2 points or less on your driving record. They won't even insure you if you have any more. |

Ya, I'm through AmFam. They're rates are awesome since they don't consider any Buell a sportbike, BUT (here's the kicker) you have to have an almost perfect record. I think I pay under $300 a year for full coverage. |
