Picked up the 1125r today destined to be a track only bike. Does anyone know the part numbers for the CR final drive sprockets and belt? as it sounds like the 2nd batch of chain converted swingarms is going to be a while and with the dollar going stupid..... Also does anyone out there know the dimensions of the fork springs as I need to order some 1.05kg ( don't suppose anyone can give me the dimensions of the rear shock too?) Waiting on delivery of race ECM and GP shift. Going to have to shorten the std muffler so I can get the tyre warmers on, (unless someone has developed a performance pipe that works) so looks like a custom map locally. Thanks to Trevor and his team at Wimmera Motorcycles in Horsham Vic would recommend anyone go there for a great deal, top people and passionate about their motorcycles. |

I figured Peter Stevens being the only Buell guys (to the best of my knowledge) in SA you would have gone there...? Of course they are still asking $19K for their '08 (inc. on road costs), and aren't expecting any '09 models till the new year. |

Does anyone know the part numbers for the CR final drive sprockets and belt? I don't know the part numbers, but you'll need the CR swingarm as well. |

Why would you need the CR swingarm? Are you talking about the wheel sprocket only? I was planning to check today at the dealer about getting the CR front sprocket. It's my understanding it is one tooth smaller than the R. On the short (but mucho fun) tracks around here I'm just barely getting into 4th. Would like to have the lower gearing. Thanx, Doug |

The belt path geometry is different with the CR pulley, hence a different swing-arm to correct it. |

But could I just change the front sprocket and still use the 1125R swingarm? |

I could be wrong but I believe the front sprocket is the same on both bikes. I was fairly certain annoy chimed in on a thread a while back that 4 things would be required to retrofit an R. Swingarm, belt, rear sprocket and idler pulley. |

+1 i cant remember about the idler sprocket, but i know the swingarm is longer. the rear pulley is bigger, and all that would add into the need for a longer belt. |

While it does not specifically say something about the idler pulley being required for the change here is where I might have gotten confused. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/379065.html?1217045924#POST1207166 |

I'd save your pennies for the chain conversion. |

As this is a race bike only My thoughts were more in line with having to modify/fabricate the belt tensioner if necessary. So basically no one has tried? or knows the part numbers? Do any other Buell models run the same pitch belt? (as supposedly the CR is a different pitch) Fresno , when I get the bill I'll let you know :-) |

Just a small note but the Buell website shows the wheelbase of both 2009 1125s to be the same 1387mm (same as the 2008 )They may have changed the geometry of the swingarm or moved the pivot point) Can anyone please supply me the part numbers for the CR belt and pulleys? |

Sorry Josh there seems to be a bit of misinformation out there, I am looking at the owners section of the Buell website https://www.buell.com/om/99480-08Y_en/file-3.asp and https://www.buell.com/om/99480-09Y_en/file-3.asp Here they are identical dimensions ? And Jmr1283 If you raised the rear the bike (or slid the forks up in the triple clamps) would tend to turn in quicker but be a little more unstable at speed. By Geometry I mean if the swingarm were longer but wheelbase the same, then you could raise the location of the swingarm pivot point and change shock mounting position. |

Interesting, the online owners manual doesn't have the CR info. I wonder if the paper one does. |

Can anyone please supply me the part numbers for the CR belt and pulleys? Drive Belt - 149T - G0500.1ATA Rear Sprocket - 76T - G0400.1ATB And don't forget you'll need a new bracket for the idler pulley . . . . the idler wheel is fine, just the bracket. Bracket, Idler Pulley - G0603.1ATZT By the way CAVEAT CAVEAT . . . that's my best guess and I'd suggest you get some good advise from someone A LOT more versed than I am before you tear the thing apart. I'd also suggest you first order the manuals so you can see the parts and procedures. |

>>>>I could be wrong but I believe the front sprocket is the same on both bikes. You are not wrong. Both the R and the CR use the 27T G0440.1AMJ sprocket. Please study carefully before you make these changes. I'd suggest your first order be a 99572-09Y. |

Even though they did not ask for it do you have the part number for the swingarm. Sounds like someone might be trying to replace all the other parts while leaving the shorter R swingarm on. |

While you're at it could you get both swingarm part numbers? Wouldn't that be something if they were the same. |

ah i see steve , thanks I wonder if it would be cheaper and do the same thing to just get a shorter shock. u would probably have to have one made. just a idea. since the aftermarket isnt there for this kind of thing makes it a weird idea at most. by the way Steve, or anyone how much $ is this convertion running. |

I too, have fished for past archives and cannot find Anony posted, regarding this thread. It would be good to know prior to throwin' coin down tho wouldn't it? Even if fact...from a race standpoint, you still only have two available ratios. Not enuff for a dedicated race effort that is out to win. Perhaps that is why the chain conversion is the most positive answer and why they might be on backorder? Winter is coming and orders will catch up. Money is not part of racing, its everything. Blessed are those who sponsor and/or receive sponsorship! mm Street 08 11's might like this swap tho!!!!! (Message edited by slypiranna on October 17, 2008) |

Thanks Court Unfortunately I don want to blow $40 on a 2009 parts manual, which is why I am asking on here. So thank you very much for the sprk & belt part #, so I assume you have the manual? so what part# is the swingarm? Tasmaniac helps to have friends and family stateside :-) if you want some info just PM JMR have not seen the US$ for chain swingarm but XB ones are US$1700 and until the dollar exchange rate has been restored a change of belt and spkt size looks like a viable option. Until someone tries it I am guessing no one will know if it works. |

There are four different swingarms. Be sure to consult your authorized Buell dealer. |
