Zac, Bikes looks very nice with the airbox cover and rims? I cant make out if the frame is blacked out in the pics. Is it and how so? art |

I put 3 cans of rattle-can clear lacquer on the frame and swingarm. 2-4 coats, wet-sand till I see blue dust, repeat. Final few coats got steel wool then Meguiar's gold class. Not perfect, but well worth what I paid... I really like the shine, the metalflake shows nicely now. Z |

Fres, No, not yet. The leaves are changing fast now though. I've been wanting to do a frame off with engine mods since I got it in January but the latest flash concerns delayed this. I think I'm safe to play outside the sand box now...and doing so with renewed excitement! mm |

Wow Sly, looking good so far!! WISH I could do a tear down rebuild. I'm so jealous, my agreement with the Mrs. to get a 3rd bike was that this one would stay stock, oops I've been fudging when I can get away with it. |

I know now my ceramic coated headers look dull by comparison now. The other scoot visible is the wife's Piaggio MP3-250 scooter. To the right of it and the only part visible is my KTM950R Super Enduro. Then to the left of the scooter you can just make out the chrome from the rear bags of my Electra Glide Ultra. |

The best way to lighten your bike is to take it apart and just put it back together. A few extra parts in the box still but it seems pretty solid so its all good. Then toss the extra parts. Take your bike apart again and reassemble it. Toss the extra parts. After 6 or 7 times you will stop ending up with extra parts. That means your done and the bike is ready. |

Carbonbigfoot commented on the license plate frame but I am surprised no one has made a comment on what it is attached to... |

MM - they sure are purty all shined up. Best compliment I've gotten on Loretta was at Homecoming. One of the guys that test the tanks in a water bath said "That's what they look like in the test-tank!" Lookin' gooood. Z |
