Crim, The M2 went 134+ in M-PF. Had some issues to sort thru. Aaron appears to be flying solo and working on the RR now. Landracing.com has some interesting runs posted already. Guzzi is up to 152.6. Thought they would be better than that. I was guessing closer to 158 as their max. I think sam was at 128.344 in the mps-pbg class. Paul |

I was on the phone with Mr. & Mrs. Nallin last night for sometime. Tell ya what, that entire family is about as nice'a folks as ya ever want to meet and the most talented rider (remember this, you'll quote me someday) from the Nallin Clan enteres Kindergarten next year. He's already protesting to get outta the kiddie class and mix it up with the big'uns. In the word's of Jim Nallin..."just another Southern Boy come to kick butt". Richard promised to go to Bonneville and "open a can o' whoop ass on'em". May I declare the can offically opened. Court |

The Guzzi group was unsuccessful in our bid to reclaim the 1000 p/pp and to bump up the 1350 p/pp. Looks like you guys get to hang on for one more year :-) Great to meet the gang, Aaron and Jim. Let us tinker a bit and break out the mojo bag. In the words of Arnold Swartsnager "I'LL BE BACK" Team Cooked Goose...down but not out :-) |

Just back from the Salt.Had a effin blast.Ran 164 on my first run.Felt great!!Came back and went 165+.It was looking possible. If only there wasn't 4 hrs sitting in line every time!!!Next morning went 162 then 163.Worked on jetting etc.Thats when I noticed the familiar looking bike in line.Talked to them a bit before they knew who I was. They had RR body work and a full on special S&S motor, trailer had dyno, sniffer, computer, you name it.Wasn't until I left that I saw the class designation and realized they were my competition. They proceeded to run 190+.Kinda shot me down.I went back and told Aaron about this bike I saw and he didn't even know they were gonna run it in our classes. So it was a mad scramble to button the RR back together. These guys were really being secretive. When I went back to talk to them I was cut off and basically led away. And they spied on us all day we figured out later.I met one of their team by bathroom and he tried to pump me for info on Aaron's bike.We think they are after Richard's record also as they had nitrous in the trailer.Don't usually wish bad luck on anyone ,but these guys sucked--hope they handgrenade. A BIG hand to all the people that helped us out.All Aaron's friends from Frontline, and definitely,Jim Witt .Could not have done it without his help. Thanks, to all. Now,back to planning what class to run next year. And Jim Witt,if you read this,I have a line on an S-2 with all the bags etc,for about $4000. |

FMJH: CONGRATULATIONS on one heck of a job. I'm incredibly proud of the way you represented Team Elves and the Buell. Everytime I look at that bike it just looks better. Sounds to me, bud, like the "line in the sand" has been scribed. Again, a warm thank you from all of us for all you have contributed. Court |

Cheers, Sure hate those 17 hours drives. Pretty hard on an old man with only 2 hours sleep, about 16+ Jack and Cokes the night before (humm ... and a few other interesting things I won't get into). There is no doubt that Aaron met the challenge head on. Meticulously working his butt off doing his thing and constantly focused on all of the mechanical and race related issues. Of course, “laid back” bubba Richard stepped up to the plate and performed as expected. Anywho … the goal to my knowledge was getting into the 200 MPH club! It happened and in the history books. Outgoing FMJ should be proud as well. His very first run was much’o faster than both of us anticipated. Jim has a beautiful bike and caught “everyone’s” eye. As you’ve heard, we waited in line daily between 4 and 5 hours just to make one run. Everyone that walked by us stopped, talked, and took pictures of his sweet ride. S’later, -JW:>

Well BIG CONGRATS to Team Elves. Let's hope that your record stands. The Perkins Team took one of my records as well. BIG RASPBERRIES to them. Oh and Sid, give up on the 1000 P/PP. It's just flat outta reach. =8^p |

Congrats FMJ !! Wish I could'lv been there with The Team. I do'nt wish this to be degenerative but what I've read about the behavior of that guy who worked for S&S seems less than kosher. Ihad thought that this was one of the last gentelman's sports. Hmmm... Nykk |

>>>NOBODY wants to see THAT, right? ANSWER: That is an accurate statement. >>>I had thought that this was one of the last gentelman's sports. ANSWER: It is, we were, we are and we shall be. Logic: It's racing. Banter will be part of the game and our perception of others will reflect the heated competition. Our Team values are roughly modeled off those that have driven Buell Motorcycle Company and those include being fierce competitors, being exceptionally open and honest and remaining ladies and gentlemen, even while those around us are loosing their ability to remain so. Aaron and Richard uniquely and accurately reflects the intensity with which Erik Buell would compete. Remember, we are talking about an Erik Buell who, while living in Pittsburgh, got badmouthed by racers in Californina, loaded a bike in a van, drove 3,000+ miles, kicked ass, drove home, then slept. Our values are, well, OUR values and we have no ability to control others beyond setting an example. My take is that the instant case may have an element of fact, sprinkled with competitive perception. Like Aaron, TEAM ELVES will assume all others honorable until irrevocably proved otherwise. Thanks for your support and being part of the TEAM. Court |

Any pics of the S&S engined bike? And any verification if it is a "factory" effort? Making plans for next year or the year after. And what's this about some unattainable 1000cc record? Nevermind, got my answers. Time to work. |
