They look like the marks left by the nails of females groping for an 1125R owner as he zooms by... pretty normal. | ||

It's normal. Mine did this at my last track day during the 1st session. Once the tires warmed up fully they melted back together. Just means you're not getting your tires up to high enough temps to reach full traction but it won't hurt anything or effect performance. | ||

Yup Saw the same thing during the break in period. Once I started riding a little more aggressive they went away. | ||

Now that you mention it, they did go away once the summer temps set in. Good call. | ||

XL, im jealous of the wear pattern on your tires. i need to start riding harder. next summer, my goal is to wear out the edges BEFORE wearing out the center. | ||

Pizza - the centers will get flat soon enough. There was around 800 miles on those tires (and the bike) when I took that picture. Hit, believe it or not, there are some *very* thin strips on there, but I'm getting my knee down. I feel good knowing that I have a little more lean left should I need it. | ||

im not complaining TOO much.. the reno/tahoe area has a bunch of killer roads that lead around northern nevada and california... the issue is that it takes atleast 30-60 minutes of driving to get to any of them since the whole region is soo spread out. PLUS my bike's main duty is commuting from home to work every day- i do an average of 50 miles a day and its all mostly interstate. its easy to get bored on the straight aways, and then i start pulling wheelies and accelerating the center flat spot issue on my corsa III's even moreso! the weekend is my playtime with the local sportbike clubs.. thats about the only time i can get the edges of my tires nice and goo-ey |
