G, The Appalachian squirrels are hoarding and loading up like mad! The little buggers keep cleaning out my chicken feeders. They'll go through 50lbs of scratch in a week -- that's a lot of food fwiw. Cold winter up here I suspect  | ||

There's divots all over the yard and the dogs are going psycho trying to keep up with them. The squirrels are hoarding more and according to the farmer's almanac, that means a bad winter. | ||

We spent all weekend in the Driftless area of SW Wisconsin -- 80 degree highs, glorious clear sky -- if this is a bad Autumn, bring on more, please! I don't mind squirrel activity -- the racoons in our neck o the woods are getting pretty darned frisky, though -- carrying off 50 pound bags of bird food, re-arranging the garder tools in the shed, smokin dope in the Entropy Lab -- (Message edited by bomber on October 13, 2008) | ||

I love The Onion! I'll never forget the article they had a long time ago about deploying the "Very Special Forces" to Iraq; they rode the short C-130. Their columnists are funny too. And the TV news is excellent stuff. | ||
