It's a little off topic, but heres some decent picks for gear. Joe Rocket jackets are pretty good (Sonic 2.0) ditto on the gloves (Speedmaster 7's) and I just ordered a pair of First Gear leather pants. Sidi makes good boots, but they're expensive. Always spend good money on helmets, Arai fits me pretty good, Shoei works good for others. Btw, I do NOT work for nor am I affiliated with newenough, they just have decent prices on the gear and they ship pretty quick. No disrespect, but that guy pictured with the one piece suit that claims to ride at temps below 15F. That is almost suicide. Those Diablo Corsa III tires will never heat up and grab the road. And being 15F, that means wet, ice and snow...DANG!!! | ||

I don't even try to ride in anything under 40 degrees. I just don't see the fun in it--the reins just have to be pulled back to much. It's more hazardous and certainly uncomfortable for the most part. No thanks. I guess that's the Californian coming out in me. But props to you guys who venture out...you have more guts than I do. | ||

I've rode my 1125R below freezing, when it's hailing and even at 125 mph on the freeway in the rain. The bike handles it all with ease. | ||

I ride below freezing, but not in wet or ice. At one point I had Dunflop D208's and they were DANGEROUS! The Strada's I have now do great no matter the temperature. On another note... I have a two pc. Technic leather suit that I LOVE!  It's tight though, so I can't wear it in the cold. It fits under armour and a spine protector beneath it, but that's about it. For the cold I wear a technic textile suit with full liners. | ||

That question is best answered by Vanson. I've heard the racing suits are expensive, but totally worth it. I believe I paid the following for these items: $600 Buell leather jacket $500 Buell leather track pants $300 Buell mesh jacket $1,400 total Both jackets survived more than minor accidents without even a scratch. | ||

Then they didn't touch pavement. I think the mesh one actually did in the shoulder area as I rolled down the street. The backpack I had on helped a lot to protect the backside of the jacket. Fortunately it also protected my $1900 tablet PC within! | ||

I just installed the jardine about 10 min ago. At Idle it is extremely loud and has a bassy reverb to it. At riding rpms it isn't annoying to me. I'm anxious to ride with someone to get their opinion. Honestly I liked the sound of my XB with a D&D on it much better than this pipe, but it's a huge step up from stock and I enjoy the sound. The fueling seems a little flat around 5 or 6k, but feels like it picks up after that. I'm no expert though, just hunches. | ||

On second thought it doesn't feel like there are any flat spots and it actually runs well down to about 2,800 rpm. | ||

For those worried about clearance and messing up the swingarm in a crash I really don't think it's an issue with this pipe. Especially with axle sliders. What about using a more restrictive baffle? Should cut out the sound a bit. | ||

Fills the underside of the bike the best, not stupid loud and actually makes power, with just a slight dip 4500-5000. Plus I may be able to actually get and keep my back wheel clean if I get this next spring. I don't much care for the looks of the Remus. The pipe sticking up and out looks a little goofy to me, and won't fair well in a crash. I'm starting to think of making my own, maybe with a Supertrap tucked up in nice like the Jardine does. | ||

I just don't like the ones like the HR1 and Jardine that leave the underside so naked. makes the bike look taller, like a motard or something, and I hate those things. Plus like I said, the dyno sheet there looks pretty good too. | ||

mmhhh, this is my experience with the remus after tuning the fuel map, compared with a stock exhaust  blue is remus red is stock after complete fuel map. | ||

Am I reading this right?? The remus actually made less power than the stock exhaust on the bike??! I wouldn't be surprised... I was a little sceptical about the numbers that were being put up by the internet site that sells these things. I hope that I am reading wrong. But it seems to me that that the remus is a waste of money. I wonder if the Saron is better. | ||
