Sorry we didn't get to meet many of you guys out there. The guy in the yellow bike, tho, is a great guy. Thank you Jody so much for all the help you gave us, esp the moral support.
We had 2 blow outs on our RV, one on Tues and again on Wed. The one on Wed caused some damage to our RV and we ended up renting a car in Cedar City so we could continue our journey to Vegas. Jody was there for us to get us thru.
And YES, THANK YOU BUELL. It was a fantastic time. I got lots of coaching on my riding and I think I improved a bunch. Can't wait to see the pictures.
I sure wanted to be there. I had been gone for six weeks straight and will be gone for another couple of weeks. I had to stay home and get some work done. Glad you had a great time. rEX
I'm gonna have to get some track tires on that SV650 for the Willow event. The spokes aren't even blurry in that picture, Brett, like I'm sittin still!
I had a great time this weekend. The Inside Pass day was lightly attended, and while that kind sucks on some levels, it meant that Eric and I practically had the track and the demo fleet to ourselves. Woo Hoo!! Loads of fun.
The ride through Utah on Friday was long but glorious. And it was good to get a taste of some of the elevation around Las Vegas. Who woulda thunk that there was a ski area in the Las Vegas suburbs?
Like the track day, the A.S.B. event this year was fairly lightly attended. The folks that came to this years event got some great prizes to choose from! Thanks for coming! Next years event will be back in Cali, likely the lower Sierras, so that No. Cal, So. Cal, AZ, and NV customers can all attend easily.
When are you going to let Joann back on her SV650 Al? Now that it is "running again" no excuses right? I think she should sign up for the Willow track day as well.
I had a great time. Thanks again to American Sport Bike and their suppliers for the cool prizes.
I will have the D&D on the 1125R in time for the Willow track day and hope to get a stock baseline dyno done this week or next.
Then of course a Dyno post D&D install after letting the ECM adjust to it.
The shop XB9S is coming back from the Infineon Inside Pass track day with me, it's been up there doing mapping duty for 2 years. THAT'S going to become Joanne's street bike, so the SV is going to become a pure track bike. But Joanne is not destined for track duty any time soon.
How funny, I look like such a dork with my jean pants leg hanging out in some of them. That was one of the funnest things I have ever done in my life. Thanks Buell!
Brett, Thanks for taking some photos - did you get any on the long ride or too busy riding?
Ken, At least its good to see my SV up and running again - she was getting lonely. The 9S is my favorite Buell, though, so I'm looking forward to riding that soon. No track days for me though; I'll be content to reaquire my riding on the weekends as time permits. I really enjoyed meeting Sunni; hopefully we'll ride together soon...
Julie, I was looking forward to meeting you guys! Sounds like you had a bit of a bad luck streak with the transportation - good thing Jody could help.
Rex, Missed your smile... Be there NEXT YEAR, OK?
Jody, A pleasure meeting you! Al will add you to the SCAB list so you can time your visits down here.
Ebear and Tbear, looking forward to seeing photos of the trip you're on right now.
To those that attended - it was truly our pleasure this past weekend, glad you could make it. Hope you enjoyed yourselves and will enjoy your goodies!
And to those that didn't - well, what can I say? We wish that we were able to give more advance notice; unfortunately we've hardly had a chance to breathe this year. Next year we're looking at the Sequoias, at our favorite mountain resort. Stay tuned, its gonna be good!
We're headed back to Cedar City Ut tonite to return the rental car and pick up the RV. It had 4 more new tires put on (6 total), work on the cylinders, bearings, axle seals and pinyon (sp). It didn't need new brakes, tho. It's a 9 hr trip, will then head home on Sat for a slower drive home.
Oh well, had a great time at Inside pass and looking at the pictures put a big smile on my face.
Be safe and stay awake at the wheel, I know both of you must be tired.
Hey since I didn't get to spend as many nights in the motorhome on the trip to Vegas, could I use it to stay up in Ft. Collins while I go to truck driving school? I am seriously considering paying this couple to up there to get me licensed and skilled behind the wheel. I plan to meet them tomorrow in Denver.
Oh yes, this relates back to Vegas because I need to make money to return to another Inside Pass Track Day! I had too much fun.
