2006 XB12Ss brand new, hasn't even been serviced yet. dealer is asking $8950 or approx $9,630 out the door. I'm thinking thats not good enough for a bike 3 model years old. what would be a reasonable amount to take to them? |

The MSRP is $10k brand new. They should be able to give you a better price than $9k. What dealer is this? Also, see how much warranty is left on it, after a while they don't get the full 2 year warranty. |

Agreed, that bike, no matter how "new", is 3 years old. It doesn't have the upgrades that the 09 has, or for that matter the 08. 8 would be a good deal. |

I bought my 08, with 404 miles on it, for $7995. $8600 out the door. The 06 doesn't seem like a good price to me. Go to kbb.com and see what it will be worth 2 minutes after you buy it. Suggested retail for a used one is $7525. Trade in for an 06 is $5200. That is a giant hit to take on a new purchase. |

If the bike was previously unlicensed, untitled, then the warranty starts at time of purchase. We have a 2007 on the floor that the build date has passed, but it still has a two year factory warranty on it. For inquiring minds, we picked it up from Buell direct, it was the brochure bike for the XB12SS for 2007. mmmmm Sunset Orange. 8400+ ttl. |
