Hey gowinder I am in the tire business. And you get what you pay for. One time i was at a gas station and some punk kid said nice helmet, Damn that is a $400.00 helmet and proceeded to rant about a $35.00 dollar helmet on e-bay. So i replied well you have to consider this....DO YOU HAVE $35 DOLLAR HEAD OR A $400.00 DOLLAR HEAD AND HE SHUT RIGHT UP, LIKE IT WAS A MATH QUESTION, AND HE KNEW NOTHING!!!! I believe there is method to my madness, Safety is the main pillar! |

Russ, Wright's in Salt Lake stock's the Road Attack which will last a lot longer and not flat out in the middle like the Race Attack does. I had a set on at Miller last Summer and they did great, never felt any kind of looseness or lack of feedback, even with my knee on the ground. Wet traction is not bad either. I switched to the Pirelli's just to try something different and am pretty happy with them so far. As far as service goes, I've seen both stellar and not so great from Wright's. I can't say why the difference but they seem to be pretty good folks there. I believe they stock Conti's and Pilots, and maybe Avon's but it's been a while since I checked. -Mike |

Thanks. I have been there they are ok! I wish they still made custom cables. I got this old enduro that every few years the cables break! I think im going with that tire. |

When a motorcycle tire is made the chord part of the tire is wrapped onto a metal ring which is put into a mold that has been prepared with a silicone release agent, consequently this release agent is transferred to the tire surface, that's why your tire dealer tells you to be carefull the first 30-40 miles with your new tires. The worst example of this that I've seen is the Dunlop Qualifier, it's a real slimeball when brand new and cold, but when you scuff it and warm it it's real sticky...short mileage , but real sticky. |

Did 300k's on the 015/021 combo today, I'm happy Jstfrfun - You like the 016's? I emailed Bridgestone distributor here and he said 016 is definitely a street tyre, not a track/DOT race tyre. I think the shop I went to is getting them confused with the BT002. |

Now im going to get another set of rims and another set of the race attack street. Those are my favorite! Anybody have any 02 x1 wheels for sale? |

I ran a Conti Road Attack at Jennings for 2 track days. They stuck great!!! They handled well and were very predictable. I rode in both dry and wet conditions without problems. I did however find the limits of traction in both the dry and the wet. I didn't crash, but I could feel the back end just as it broke lose. Eased off the throttle just a hair, then eased back into it. No fuss, no muss!! |

I personally like the race attack street. I really like this new sport attack i just put on . I not sure about the road attack. Hey if your by the salt lake area go into Honda Suzuki of salt lake ask for jeff, At the parts counter. He will give you a discount on tires if you mention my name, Russ. This guy has always hooked me up when i was riding honda's, Now i don't ride honda's anymore, Only because i dont have 13k for a new one. |

Just what I said; street tire BT016. Track tire Dunlop Qualifier. My profession is tires...just tires, for motorcycles and ATVs. My store is 60 miles west of Las Vegas. 40+ percent of the residents of the town commute to Vegas daliy(many on bikes), the sport bikers are looking for high mileage and grip in the mountain passes and the 016 is giving them just that. Spring Mountain Raceway is on the outskirts of town and those people like the Qualifier. Of course the usual smattering of Pirelli and Metzler fans in there as well, but the better portion of track shredders like the Dunlop for price and great adhesion. |

Thanks Jstfrfun. I had to read back through the post, I'd missed your comment "BTO16(which is a street tire not a track tire)". I'll be a little more wary of what my tire shop tells me from now on. I had BT014's 'til now, and I really liked them a lot. Might try 016's next time. cheers, chili |

I dunno bout that Bird, but if I was making tires I think my comparison tests would also show my product to be the very best tire available...even if I compared apples and bananas to my figs. BTW didn't see anything about mileage comps.??? Not that I don't know already, I'm just saying. The qualifier cannot be in the same comparison class with the 016 or the M2, they are just different animals. But the qual and the race attack can be compared because they are both a single compound soft grippy tire. The sport attack is slightly harder but still single compound rubber. If your gonna set up your bike to run at Toelle, I would try the race attack for a couple of warm-ups and then give-em hell for a couple more, look at your wear(see if you got any chicken strips left)pattern and check depth of tread. Be carefull though I've heard the track can get blow dirt on it in places! |

See i would say my tire was the best to. But it was supposedly a magazine that rated them not the manufacturer, However it is posted on there website! So you never know. Although the cold grip on these is fantastic, I was testing them in 26 degree weather at cold start up. No warming at all, And i couldn't keep the front down. |
