Rode an 1125r again on Sept 27 on the Test Ride, and once again, I really liked the bike. The dealership has two 1125r's and one CR in stock, and hasn't been able to move any of them, and subsequently offered me a really good deal on whichever one I want, with my 9r in trade. Here's the question: Of the 1125 owners who owned XB bikes prior to owning the 1125, would you say that you enjoy the 1125 more? |

Here's the question: Of the 1125 owners who owned XB bikes prior to owning the 1125, would you say that you enjoy the 1125 more? Has been discussed before, but the 1125r is a better machine than the XBR in EVERY way except maintenance and gas mileage. DO it! I have and XB9SX and i might sell it next spring. even thought the XBS is more practical in a MPG and ergo sense--the only time it has gotten used is during a two week span when I was assembling the parts to start doing tire changes myself. The rear on the 25r was just unsafe to ride at that point. |

I upgraded from my cityX to the 1125r about 5 weeks or so ago. Love it, haven't missed the xb for one second. |

Yes. Yes. Yes. Got out of a Lightining, into a CR. If you like the Lightning, to the bar conversion on the CR. If you like the Firebolt, go with the R. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. Rob |

Got the reflash a few days ago. Afterwords, took my g-friend for a ride. After 15 or so miles of freeway and surface road riding, it averaged 46 mpg. I don't know what the average is for a firebolt/ligntning/cityX, but this is about as good as my old FZ6. As far as would I do it again, yes, at some point. I think, maybe I bit the bullet a little too soon. It is a great bike, though! |

I traded my xb12r this spring for the 25R. I have not looked back once especially with the new ecm update. As for gas millage my xb only got about 10 to 15 mpg better average. Well worth the difference if you like the riding position of the xbr. |

I will get another 1125 but it may be a different model. I hope Buell offers a touring model. I`m thinking that this one will be an around town fighter and I will get another in a year or two to use as a cruiser / tourer. Buell, PLEASE build a tour version with ALL the bells and whistles. |

OK, your on the fence. I will now push you off. IMHO, and with my 12 1/2 years of Buell Ownership and over 150,000 Buell miles, this is the/my best Buell yet! Buy it! 'nough said! |

As with my old M2 the base 1125R is a tremendous platform to transform this bike into any format you desire. Street or track racer, hooligan bike, touring bike with higher bars and bags, etc. Some have done just that in several modes as we have already seen. It already has great handling, plenty enough H.P. for two up and luggage and gets respectable fuel mileage. It will never be a Gold Wing, BMW, R1 or 1198 Duc, thank goodness, but you could do an awful lot with the savings having an 1125. My personal bike is a transformer going from canyon carver to touring bike in a few minutes and I still have money in the bank.............ahh (under the mattress now!) Bob |

No Question about it. I had the XB12Ss and put 17000 miles on it and I don't miss it at all now that I have the 1125R. |

Is there even a single regret? Wow! Looks like I might go with the 1125R instead of the XB12R. It might be a little while for me, though. I would be making a HUGE jump from my Blast. What do you think? |

Reuel- How comfortable are you on the Blast? How long have you been on the Blast? I'll give you that it's a big jump, but if you've got some experience in many types of riding environments (back roads, city, interstate etc) AND have the brains to take it easy until you get used to the riding position, acceleration and stopping power of the 1125r I say go for it. Hope I don't get flamed... I love my 1125R, but..... I loved my XB12Ss also. They fulfill different needs for me. I had the 12Ss prior to the 1125R. Now I have purchased a Uly. (Still have the R) So, I believe that you could be happy on either one. Test ride both, if you are able. |

Reuel I went from a Blast to another buell too. I didn't want to buy the first year 1125R with all the problems that I have read on here but it seems the 09 1125's are in good order now and I think I should of just waited a few months longer for the 09's to come out. Basically I think you should go for the 1125R because you might regret it after you get use to the firebolt. Blast, the gate way Buell! |

The only other bike I lust for is the Motoczysz C1. The 1125R is better than my old XB12R in every way, except maybe sound and color combination... I liked the lump's noise and I had the black & red XB12R which was sexy in an evil way. |
