But here's my favorite.
Phil, What were the colors of your leathers and helmet? Or just post one of your pics. To everyone who was there, post one of your pics. (Message edited by cowtown on September 30, 2008) |

I looked @ the VRods pegs up close around lunch time. They were ground down pretty darn good.

Is it an exact replacement? Terminal connections identical to the factory AGM? |

It's been a couple of years, but I think the only difference is the factory terminals are threaded and the replacement has nuts. I can look at them tonight if you want. I do remember it cost a lot less than the dealership. |

If you could please. I have read about replacement batteries being slightly bigger and a tight fit, and cables needing to be slightly modified to bolt to the terminals. All I have is a few tools and an apartment parking lot... so I need easy drop in replacement. Thanks! |

I'll look at them tonight, but I can say that size and cable placement are the same. |

Hey all, I made it back from my long trip to Suches, GA. It was a total of 4200 miles. I will post up picks and ride reports a little later in the week. Webe for Prez!!! I love it. |

Dennis, the only difference is what I stated before, nuts instead of a threaded terminal. The battery case is identical, the top looks like it came from the same mold. Micah, 4,200 miles! You do realize you can get to Georgia without going through Alaska, just kidding. You deserve an Iron Butt Award. |

LOL, thanks Paul... Actually the last day on my ride I was planning on riding from Winston-Salem,NC to Little Elm, TX (1092 miles). I made it 15 miles East of Little Rock, AR at 11:45pm. I filled up the tank and took a look at the rear wheel. I had cords showing through the center of my tire. The little lady came and rescued my butt the next day. My trip destinations went something like this... Little Elm --> Suches,GA Suches,GA --> Beaufort,SC Beaufort,SC --> Norfolk,VA (Via the Outerbanks) Norfolk,VA --> Deals Gap, TN Deals Gap,TN --> Little Elm 4200 miles or so with a couple of days riding the North Georgia Mountain roads and 287 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway. |

Can anyone recommend a reputable service shop near the Plano/Richardson area? My Firebolt needs the 10k maintenance and I don't really like the Harley shop in Allen. Thanks, Richard |

You can try American Eagle in Corinth. Tripp (sp?) is the Buell tech in Service & is pretty sharp. |

Wish it was in Fort Worth. Nothing like riding your bike around the Water Gardens, legally that is. |

Dallas is much closer for me but I also like the Ft Worth venue. It is a nice open area outside and offered plenty of parking with good security. |

Micah, that's a lot of miles... whew... I took the ST up to OK and ARK this weekend, did ride some scenic stuff and rode back in sunday evening to beat the rain... I put about 900 miles on the clock and thought that was pretty good, then I see your 4200... Iron butt or iron head??? hehe I'm planning on going to the IMS show but it looks like I'll be at work this weekend so it'll probably be 3 or 4 in the afternoon on saturday depending on what time I go to work... Hope to see some of yall out there... Kevin |

Well not to long ago after Buelltoberfest I posted a thread letting everyone know I had sold the Uly and picked up a new 2008 GL1800 for touring duty. I mentioned in the thread that I would own another Buell and hopefully in time for MBVI. Well..... I am the proud new owner of a Buell again. I purchased a 98 S3T from a badwebber. The bike is currently being torn down to the frame for a rework. I just finished pulling the motor out the frame and I will be taking the bike completely apart (to powder coat the frame, swingarm, etc.)this winter. I am hoping the bike will be ready to ride to MBVI in March. This is it before the tear down
