Could anyone recommend a breather set-up for an M2?
I have a setup now with the rear bolt exiting straight out from the rear jug and the front has a 90 degree elbow.
I have a CF air cleaner.
Also, I saw a kit that runs over the top of the rocker boxes and claims that this limits the amount of oil lost. I thought that this probably would not work this way since it is mostly oil mist, but would it negatively effect breathing?

It's a common misconception that if the lines ar run up and over, that the oil will get back into the engine.
There are one-way umbrella valves in the rockers that would prevent that.

I screwed around with different things before just running them together to a hose leading down to the ground.

Personally, I find that most of the crap that escapes my engine is watery babysnot that you wouldn't want returned to your engine anyways.

I am currently running clear neoprene tubing from home depot and I can watch it gradually cool down and condense like I'm running a very noisy still! : )

What size bolt would I need for the 90 degree angled one? I want to replace mine.

I put xb rocker boxes on mine(the top piece anyway} with pcv valves. The ran hoses over to my catch can. No more mess.

I had to use automotive pcvs, as my RS doesn't have much clearance under the tank.

I second Rich's post.
I did the same thing a few years ago, and it's working out just peachy.

Isnt there a parts list kicking around in the KV?

If you are looking for 2 of the 90 deg breather bolts you can get them from the buell/harley dealer.

My stock 97 s1 had one straight and one 90 deg. Just order 2 of the 90s

John
Forcewinder offers a different setup. Also check out J&P then have some options that I have used. I'm sure that there are a few more in my favorites that I have forgotten.

The part number for the 90 degree breather bolts that came with my Race Air Cleaner kit is 29390-96Y. Cost is $13.45 each, before any discount.

I contacted two dealerships and googled the part number to find Biker Bob's in Michigan, as a possible source.
The PN 29390-96Y is obsolete, superceded by PN P0235.9A

That doesn't look promising either.
I will go custom if I can't get one.
Thanks

The Custom Chrome banjo bolt breathers are like about $22 a pair, plus some rubber hose and you're good...

These can be ordered from any dealer, or online.
