Color-coordinated too! Martha Stewart would approve. |

I think that's a good shot. Doesn't look as much like the cyclops chick from futurama. Seems a good review too, cool. |

I still think the designer is a Battlestar Galactica fan.

I saw one repeatedly @ buelltoberfest coming @ me on 129. Looked like an ape lunging @ me in the corners. (in a good way) I cant stand the black one, gotta have the "arrest me red". (Message edited by barker on October 05, 2008) |

No offense, but I'd much rather have black.

I would like the black one too, if did not have red striped wheels and a red ZTL2. OK, we can debate color, but the we all know it needs an S tail. (Message edited by barker on October 05, 2008) |

I would like to see the S Tail on one. After riding yours all day, I have discovered that I need 2 bikes. The Uly felt like a bus after riding the Bolt all day. |

There is a black one staring me down at the local dealer every time I enter. As much as I originally thought that the thing to do with it would be to graft an XLCR fairing onto it, now I'm thinking that it just needs a set of CityX bars, and my name on the title........ |

I sat on a Cr this past saturday at Hal's. Not for me in either looks or riding position. I felt as though I was going to be tossed over the bars, there's nothing in front of you and you're leaning very far forward. Whoever said you wouldn't notice the pods while sitting on this bike is very very mistaken. Side by side the R is way nicer looking than the Cr. |

If we all liked the same design, Buell wouldn't have to make so many. |

You're right, they won't have to worry about making me one. |

You can see the pods WAY more on the CR. The view of them is blocked by the R faring. The CR faring appears much less "conehead" and more broad in person. |

I thought the CR looked very good in person too. The cafe bars definitely give a more radical seating position than the 1125R. I'd really like to see one with the optional more-upright accessory handlebars installed. |

It would make sense for a bike with less wind protection to have lower bars than a bike with a fairing when you think about it. At least, for a STREET bike. Without the wind protection afforded by the "Quiet Zone" fairing of the "R" model, you need more forward lean to counteract the wind. The bike might not feel as comfortable sitting stationary on the showroom floor, but the seating position will make sense once you hit the highway. I've never ridden the R or CR back to back, mind you. I'm basing my observations on past experience with faired and unfaired motorcycles. |

"The CR faring appears much less "conehead" and more broad in person." I thought it made the pods stick out like sore thumbs. |

I rode the CR back to back with the R a few times this past week at the Vegas inside pass track day. It's a small track, never got either bike out of third gear. On that track, and I suspect on the roads as well, I liked the CR gearing more. The aesthetics take some getting used to, I much prefer the R look. It would have been nice if they'd had ONE of the demo CRs equipped with the tall bars. Al |

The bike might not feel as comfortable sitting stationary on the showroom floor, but the seating position will make sense once you hit the highway. I have slightly lower bars on my X1 for exactly that reason. I like the fact that at least the bike comes with tubular bars so you can change them. If you cast your memory back to when Triumph released the T509 Speed Criple it originally came with clipons (pic of T509) and the upright bars were optional. So many people ordered the option that Triumph reversed it and the clip ons became the option. Maybe Buell will do the same? First 1125CR's should be in Oz in the next week or two... I'm hanging out for the demo to arrive at the local dealer!!! I really like the CR, including the low bars. (Saw an '09 XB12R yesterday for the first time - blacked out forks etc look great!) cheers, chili |
