Mike, believe it when I say "I am lightened up & I dont take any of this seriously". Josh made a comment & I simply responded. 3/4's of the time I am sitting here laughing my ass off just seeing how people respond. Sure are some sensitive folks on Buells now days. |

Dyna, I don't get it You start a thread on Sacborg: Quote: "Cecil, vik, etc.. Am I doing a decent enough job of shaking up the little love nest over on badweb? I figure I cant ride right now, gotta do something to keep myself occupied. I love it when the name calling starts, that shit is hilarious. And they actually think it bothers me." and now you think Josh is picking on you? gb |

Here's my perspective on life - I had a younger sister who was really sick for eight years before she died. The whole time that she had tubes hanging out of her and the medicine made her throw up all day long she never complained or blamed someone else. I figure there are a lot worse things that can happen to me than have a vehicle break down and get stranded on the road. Why make my life miserable and everyone elses? Just move on and enjoy what you have. |

Mike, that's not what's going on here. This is about getting attention. But it's Blake's board, and apparently he's okay with this. All we can do is focus on the positive and ignore the negative. The problem with computers is that there's no maturity test before you can buy one. |

Garry, what goes on over on Sac has no bearing here. We have no problems with poking some fun on each other over there. Pretty much everyone on Sac realizes its all no big deal. Obviously the same attitude does not permeate around here. If Josh wants to come over to Sac & poke fun & call names, thats fine. He would be more than welcome. |

It'll pass. Dyna just got carried away, as did some others, I know how he feels, I remember getting pretty upset on Badweb a few times too. And for the record, Cecil did offer to kick my ass once, it was after I told him I thought he was 'soft'. Rocket and I went around and around, and I got in a pretty good food fight with Aaron during the 'contact patch' episode. Now, even though I have never met any one of the three I consider them 'friends'. Paul |

There will be no rules....I asked a legitimate quetion and a bar room brawl ensued. Well, I have the next question ready, but am going to wait until this calms down. In the meantime, start brushing up on the concepts of present value, discounting (as in discounted future cash flow, not selling cheap) and some rudimentary statistics. Kinda like Heisenberg's "The more precisely the POSITION is determined, the less precisely the MOMENTUM is known" therory. I am not sure we can SEE the future, but I'll bet we can "DESCRIBE" it with the hints we're being tossed. Court |

Now you say >I never exaggerated & stated Buell replace my engine 3 times But you also say >because your POS Buell decided to grenade a 3rd engine. Sorry, don't know why I thought you were trying to imply you were on your third engine. 'Course Steve got the same impression so maybe I'm not too far off base. >Sure are some sensitive folks on Buells now days. Sure are some sensitive people bashing Buells these days. (Man I check the board at 10 and take an hour to reply and there's already a full page. It's Saturday morning! I'm telecommuting before I go ride what are the rest of you doing online?)

I just got to go in the"race shop"(a small old wood framed garage really)sitting beside the typical modern 30,000 square feet or whatever HD dealership-wonderland main building. This dealer used to race on the HD factory team (flattrack)in the 1960s,both of his sons race and this old garage is where they maintain their XR750s,2 of them, incredibly beautiful machines, the single purpose design of them seems like perfection, really gets me re-enthused in my tube frame Buell.Think i'll ride back over there + hang around awhile.Great atmosphere |

Josh and Paul: Why do you take things so personal???? Alright we three have lived through the growing pains of the 99' FI's and survived. We are having fun and it seems that some people can't understand that. Hey I've already been out burning some turns this AM and back at home to do the Softball game/ kid running around. It's been such a beautiful day . I've had my fun so it's off to the ball diamond. Later Buelligans, ride more, lean more, Grin more. Neil S. |

Hey Stevem123, had the thought occured to you that Dynas engine was rebuilt 3 times, and that the dealership screwed up 3 times, and the fact that Dyna has a 50,000 mile dyna wideglide, still running, very well mind you at the crud run, and the fact that another dealer who will remain nameless, even said" there was no way it was dynas fault, i treat my bikes worse", i have seen these thing and heard them, now, had buell sent anybody to inspect the bike? wouldnt you, i mean really 3 times in 1 year, would you be happy about the fact that your bike spent more time in the shop than on the road(2001 X1), or how about if you said fine, trade it in on a new one so i can at least ride, and the dealership said we will NOT take it, would you still be happy, or how about the fact that buell CS and harley CS can not get there story straight, buell says we are not going to fix it due to the race ECM, guess what the bike dosnt have a race ECM, if you would like i can continue, just wanted to give you a little backround as to why dyna is a little mad, there is more to the story, but would hate to bore anybody, all facts, would you really still be happy, i doubt it |

Hey Fellow Riders... I think we have well established satisfaction and dissatisfaction concerning our bikes and dealers to one another. I personally found it all very interesting and a little depressing at times. I like to learn about things that spur me into more preventative maintenance including upgrades that the factory could not due for either internal or external (EPA, etc) reasons. However, I find playing "Family Feud" a little redundant. How about we just move on and let Court drop the next series of questions on us. Hell, who knows. if we play the game, we may come out way ahead. If not, it may be about as productive as switching deck chairs on the Titanic. Just the opinion of the FNG that has read the entire BadWeb, archives and all. |

I'm of the opinion that the way-too-lean stock ECM does more harm to the engine than the race ECM's 300 rpm rev limit increase. |

Hootowl...Dyno runs on my X1 proved that. Am now running Race ECM and DFO. Really improved low and mid range. No need to ride near red line with the new found power. Then, I only ride hard in the twisties am on cruise control the rest of the time to avoid the "Revenuers." Ewwww...I hope I didn't just step on my recent post about moving on. |

"Garry, what goes on over on Sac has no bearing here. We have no problems with poking some fun on each other over there. Pretty much everyone on Sac realizes its all no big deal. Obviously the same attitude does not permeate around here. " That's why I shy away from any other boards. I can get the technical answers that I need and I still get to call Maverick a fag! Call someone here a fag and everyone gets their thongs in a bunch. C'mon people lighten up... It's only a motorcycle, and a shitty one at that! |

This place is becoming a soap opera! Lets get over fucking with each other and talk about making our Buells better bikes. If you dont like Buell , go to another site and get off of this one. If you dont like the people on this site then go some where else. Blake and Aaron have helped me out a lot and probably dont even know it. This goes for many other people on this site. I am not getting any good information by hearing everyone bitching and crying over things that pretty much have nothing to do with motorcycles. Just my 2 cents! |

......talk about making our Buells better bikes. Precisely what we will be doing the moment things calm down a bit. The first round served 3 purposes. 1) Demonstrate the passion that Buells evoke. 2) Bring back long lost participants, both happy and sad. 3) Commence the thinker churning on "what's satisfying" and "what is not". The next issue will forego the "if I had $10" and we'll instead be using $1. You can turn ahead and peek at the chapter if'n ya please...... What is the difference in a "dollar spent on quality" and "a dollar spent on warranty". There are timing differences, for sure. The quality dollar gets dispatched several years, presumably, before the warranty dollar. Think about costs and what you are "buying" for that dollar. We'll talk more next week. Court |

Roger, You may want to check the real facts before posting nonsense like " guess what the bike dosnt have a race ECM". Read Dyna's profile and all the post where he says he installed one. |

Anon, maybe you would like the real facts. Roger speaks the truth. I had the Race ecm on the bike up to the point of the 2nd dropped valve. Since then it has had the stock ecm in it. Just because I never updated that on the profile doesnt mean squat. Look on the bottom about clubs & organizations, it says just started a new brag club up, well that was a yr & a half ago. Sorry I didnt update just for you. Fuckin know it all anon posters. |

Who said the race ECM races the rev limit 300 rpm? It does not. Rev limit on all '96 and later Buell tube frame twins is 6,800 rpm. Guys, I'm asking very nicely... Would you please stop with the profanity? Mike, You truly are a free stinker. |
