What I've seen around here is "Take it home for $25 down." |

Free full face helmet with a dark tinted visor to hide the goofy grin you get every time you twist the throttle. This is a known side effect of the 1125r, and it has hit me as well.

At the rate that they are (not) selling in the UK, it may be: 'Buy an XR1200 and get an 1125R free' I have spoken to a lot of UK and European dealers that have sold either no 1125's or single figures, and over 90% of our 1125R aftermarket customers are in the USA. MCN are testing the 1125CR next week, so we'll see if they can improve their opinion over the last tests of the 1125R, which were luke warm at best. |

>>>At the rate that they are (not) selling in the UK, it may be:. . . . that the Harley-Davidson folks, not exactly novices to the science of marketing motorcycles, know precisely what they are doing, are not bothered and are pleased that the forecast sales strategy is proceeding pretty much in line with expectations. Just a thought . . . . |

the bike comes it is fitted with what the Americans call ‘Clubman’ bars which are essentially old-fashioned Ace bars. "These are a little too low and forward for comfort. Optional high rise bars are available for a price yet to be confirmed. And as you can imagine, a claimed 140bhp engine and upright bars means fun.” It should've come with the upright bars from the factory. (Do I sound like a broken record yet?) |

http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=1&CategoryID=7&Produ ctID=4273 Looks like they have it priced out pretty well. Should be all the parts you need. The clubmans are the only thing that makes that bike a 'cafe'. |

Damn. After riding the 1125CR from the demo fleet, I glad This thing doesn't have upright bars, since I would probably be selling a kidney to get the engine, but the clubman bars/positions just didn't do it for me, was too uncomfy. Now that I see those bars, I looking at the kidney option again Anybody need one? I don't really drink so in theory it should still be pretty decent... |

It should've come with the upright bars from the factory. Yes. I like "clubmans". If the bike didn't have them, I'd be looking to add them. After doing over 20 hours of riding in two days on my Firebolt with the stock clip-ons, I've decided that people who complain about low bars being uncomfortable aren't using them correctly. Don't get me wrong, I know there are more comfortable options out there, but for me, i'm able to have my cake and eat it too. (Message edited by xl1200r on October 02, 2008) |
