Does anyone have any knowledge of the Remus Powerizer? Does it work similar to a power commander. If not, what exactly does it do? I am planning to install an aftermarket exhaust and I was wondering if I needed it. |

no, you don't need one. the computer in the 1125R adapts quite well to minor changes. as far as what it is and what it does, i've got one on my XB12X and all it seems to have done is make the bike run lean. |

Choppercz, Don't do it please, it's not working, only if you disconnect the O2 sensor, otherwise the ECM keeps correcting the fuell.. If you can wait a little while there will be a solution to use, but you need to go to a good dynocenter to do it.. |

i've got one on my XB12X and all it seems to have done is make the bike run lean. The Powerizer can only add fuel, not take it away, so it can't be any leaner than stock. |

I ordered one last week 325 shipped. I was told that it can only add fuel not take away fuel???Well find out how she works soon. I'll update as soon as I install and run her at the drag strip. I run 10.65 pretty consistent .well see if she gets faster. |

I wonder... The Remus unit can only add fuel, but the ECM can take it away? Rob |

The powerizer goes in between the ECM and injector. It takes the signal from the ECM, adjusts it (if needed), and sends the new signal to the injector. |

Ok somebody is missing something here and it might be me. If the only thing that is changed is the pulse width then as Easyrider said the ecm will try to correct and lean it back out. The ecm uses the O2 feedback to correct the fuel maps, it can lean it out or richen it up. The module would also have to produce an O2 signal that the ecm would see as "normal" and the O2 sensors would probably need to be disconnected. Please let us know what it connects to on the bike when you get it. |

chevy, Your lamda (O2 sensor) is reading A/F mixture. He like to read 14.7 A/F Ratio. When you add fuell, it reads more then 14.7 and starts leaning out that specific area where it is told to do (open-closed loop) If you leave the O2 sensor (lamda) connected it will lean ou the bike. Disconnect the lamda and it will work fine. If you pay so much for a system which can only be used on a dyno?. then go to a dynoguy and let him do the work for you. It is well spenjd money. |

If you leave the O2 sensor (lamda) connected it will lean ou the bike. If the powerizer works like the EBR/Sinus module (and all I know is that it does), no impact on the CL will occur, as fuel is added only in WOT/accel. Regards, Gunter |

Chevy - you're correct, the ECM will try to lean it out, but the powerizer will always have the final say. If the ECM says to add x amount of fuel, the Powerizer will take that and say the bike really needs x+2 amount of fuell. So to correct, the ECM says x-2 amount of fuel, but the Powerizer takes that says x+4. No matter what the ECM does, the Powerizer has the final say. If the ECM tries to lean it out, the Powerizer just adds more. |

If it tried to adjust the CL it would be kinda like a dog chasing his tail. I would think eventually the AFV's would max out lean and it would throw a code/CEL. But like Gunter said, if it only adjusts in open loop WOT/accel, it may work fine. But you're still stuck with the lean CL. |

I can only comment on the poweriser I have fitted to my XB12R which also has a race ecu fitted, it sems to have corrected a hole in the rev range at part throttle which existed after fitting the micron system even though I gave the ecu time to learn the new configuration for part throttle use. |

Ok, that would make some sense if it only adjusts in open loop ranges. If it adjusted in closed loop than it may set a rich code as the ecm will keep removing fuel and the poweriser will keep adding fuel. So it really would be beneficial only under greater load and rpm conditions? |

put mine on today and noticed no low end power increase but noticed 6rpm and above a increase in acceleration and tends to lift the front of the bike up more in second and third gear . No track this week . I'll keep a update on the et at the dragstrip . Also noticed the Idle was slightly higher . The exhaust tone also slightly changed at idle. |

when ddfi3 runs at wot or closed loop . It only uses the map value tps and rpm to calculate fuel delivery .air temp coolant temp o2 enrichments all are thrown out the door. That's why I believe if you look at the dyno sheets for remus most of the gain is at higher rpm and that's how they keep the check engine light from coming on. . A speed density systems like most also have a setting for what throttle percent and what rpm to enter closed loop . I believe that this piggyback is ok but I'm used to tuning myself via laptop on my cars with great results.and when something like that comes out that's when the true potential of this bike will shine. |

Adoogie: Do you have a aftermarket exhaust w/ the remus? If so what kind? I would love to see you post some lower times at the strip keep us posted |

I went to the track Friday and ran a 10 .48 at 132 mph that was .22 tenths faster with the powerizer. I ran 10.60s before. Now I have some tranny problems I think. After I launched in first at the track the trans shifts hard and tight.makes me worried . Like a bent fork. |
