1) Is the clutch cable for a 2000 Cyclone the same as for a 2005 XB12Scg? 2) What exactly is this filter for? (I need to sell it.) Thanks! |

The M2 and XBScG have different part numbers and prices on American Sportbike. The good news is that the ScG cable is $20 cheaper. The new ones are really nice and have a coated/sleeved cable. Riddle me this. Why does my primary fluid look like this? Is it because I used a pressure washer? When I drained and refilled it, but never used a pressure washer, why does it look the same again?

29331-96 AIR FILTER ELEMENT Retail Price:$24.95 Doesn't say what it fits! Those tuber bikes are weird. Thumper, stop hijacking threads! |

That white milky stuff is due to water (probably condensation) inside your primary. Needs to get hot and stay hot to boil the moisture off. You are not riding enough! |

Froggy, it was a joke. He axed a question, I replied with another. Kilroy, the only condensation in that primary is from inclement weather. I've put 14,800 miles on this thing since December when I bought it... Mike, does the new bike need a cable, or are you just getting rid of spares? If the ScG needs a cable, you'll need to take off the ramp assy to do it. Do yourself a failure, pick up both from Al. There's a better ramp assy and the cable has been updated. It should be a pretty light clutch pull when your done. (Message edited by Thumper74 on September 30, 2008) (Message edited by Thumper74 on September 30, 2008) |

Thump - when's the last time you changed the primary oil? I noticed you said you got the bike in December, so I'm guessing there have a lot of cooler weather days in there. If you're doing any riding in the cold, you need to make sure the bike get PLENTY hot to burn off that moisture. Being the primary, it doesn't head up like the engine itself, so it takes longer for this to happen. |

Jeez thumper, way to ruin my thread! It's just moisture. Get the motor HOT often, and change the fluid every spring, and you'll be good to go. The new bike doesn't need a new one, I have a spare from the old bike. |

Everyone, over to my thread! Keep it for the old bike and just let it go with it when/if you sell it |

He already has that thread going...I was going to ask a random question too. Thought we'd fill this thing with off the wall questions, like... Why do male cats have nipples? or Why do kamikaze pilots wear helmets? Wrong I guess? |

We can turn this into a thread full of REALLY random questions AFTER someone finds out what exactly that air filter is for! |

Why do I have nipples? To show the world that it's cold outside? |

If I were to recommend A book to be THE book to read.... it would be Fight Club: The Novel. Badass book! It's actually the ONLY book I've ever read in my life, that kept my attention so much that I looked forward to reading it at night, and I actually couldn't put it down. I read it till I fell asleep. I am jack's book recommendation. |

I'm actually all about any of his books. Check out 'Choke' and 'Rant'. I'd recommend 'Rant' first. It'll blow your mind. |
