Hey Shawn, when are you going to do the adjustable clubman change? I need to "harden the f**k up" and change my setup. I thought I would ask before I go and order what I need, in case you have extras after you are done. Stu |

Sorry to hear about the job hunt issue Greg...I must have missed that. Yeah...50 miles is a bit of a way to commute...but it is a VERY LARGE group you are joining. I have some people here that are doing more than 60 and know a few others that do more... Work for us manufacturing types is getting thin so travel is more of a requirement these days... I've done a 65 mile trip before...just make sure you have some good tunes with you and just settle in for the ride. |

the national average is 25 minutes. i know a handful of ppl that do that or less. everyone else has pretty much double that. just make sure you don't spend more than you make in fuel i guess? |

Thanks for the offer Shawn. I can't wait. I ordered some bars. Black of course. Were you able to reuse the stock grips? |

Suggestion: so long as you're changing bars, add in some grip heaters. And the odds of reusing stock grips are slim... I don't know what they use for grip glue in East Troy, but it is some serious stuff. I had to cut mine off, then shave all the little bits off, then attack it with some solvent. Just let the fresh grip glue setup up before you turn the heaters on or it'll never bond. |

hey scott(m2) give me a call at the shop if you get a chance 4017240010 about pegs. - trick for reusing grips - use a very small screwdriver and pry grip away from bar, then a little squirt of contact cleaner with the straw on the can, grips come right off, contact cleaner evaporates and grip is sticky again for reinstall, works like a charm! |

Buell must have screwed up on my grips then...no glue at all! I've had the throttle apart twice now...and still have the original grips. |

Hi Jp.Yeah,i quit my job two weeks ago thursday.I feel relieved. I had an awesome interview at Alpha-Grainger today. They're going to try some restructuring to try and fit me in on either of two different CNC screw machines' of which i've had factory training. It's only my first interview, but at a world class company.I'm comfortable though, for the next two months. That's if i lose out on the arbitration hearing.I've kept a daily journal of work activities/incidents,and feel i've got a strong case to win and collect unemployment insurance.But...i may be back to work sooner than that. Sunday, sunday!!!! |

Can anyone tell me (forgive me if this is a stupid questions to some) if there is any advantage to running 12 headers on a 9??? |

Here is a really good website. It gets into detail about primary header sizes on Harley engines. Hope this helps. http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/exhausttech.htm Oh almost forgot to add this one. http://home.earthlink.net/~mmc1919/venturi.html (Message edited by tattoo72 on September 30, 2008) |

So, an oversized pipe seems to not be a good thing. With the 9 and 12 being so close it seems it could help in one area of rpm and hurt in another. It would need more ecm tuning also?? I guess insulating the pipes seems like the thing to do no matter what. |
