I know there are a few of you out there with anodized/painted XB wheels, and I'd like to see them if you've got pics.. |

Here are my rattle can black done on Sunday. Saved over $400 and still have Uly tough rims. I was swapping out tires so I prepped the rims pulled the rotors and sprockets. Flat black 2 cans 6.37 with tax. BLACK is faster and now I'm really FAST!!!!

Here are my rattle can black done on Sunday. Wow, rattle can? How'd it hold up when you remounted your tires? I'd be curious to hear how it holds up long term. Tipsy |

The thought process was I can touch up as needed for a few bucks. When I mounted the tire my cheap harbor freight changer did me good. I use a hard plastic rim guard that did it's job. Prep work is what really will tell the story. One finger print of grease can dork it all up. But then I'm only out a few bucks and sweat. |

Hope the rims hold up better than the side cases. . |

Those side cases are my alternate side stand for use only in off road conditions. I wouldn't want to scratch the paint on my kickstand. |

Rotor: how do you find your bike at night?? Goldmember looks awesome! I love everything about the amber wheels (except cleaning them) Do you notice any difference in acceleration? How much of a weight difference do they have? |

Vern: Thanks for the pics, they look great! The color matching is a really nice touch. Etennuly's Ulysses:

Goldmember looks awesome! I love everything about the amber wheels (except cleaning them) Do you notice any difference in acceleration? How much of a weight difference do they have? I think I remember hearing that there is about a pound each more weight for the Uly wheels. I don't really notice that much of a difference. I'm sure a better rider would. Yeah, cleaning them takes some time. I usually give them a good cleaning before I put them on. |

I don't have the stop sign and lights but I am working on that bar that sticks out from the front bumper! |

Yeah, but it'll scare the neighbors when you are riding down the street yelling in your helmet "You kids shut the hell up and sit down!" |

If orange Uly's are the fastest that thing must get close to mach 1. |

Mach 1.3 actually. Ft_b, do you find that keeping the gold wheels clean causes undue effort? I really liked the Idea that Erik had with the parts of the Uly being the colors of road dirt, a truly brilliant idea that I messed with! (Message edited by etennuly on September 30, 2008) |

Ft_b, do you find that keeping the gold wheels clean causes undue effort? Nah. You'd have to give a crap about how they looked for it to be an issue. They really aren't any harder than any other wheels to clean or keep clean. The issue is that they look SO good clean that you feel compelled to clean them. I bet that there is a nice puddle of brake dust collected under the mounting points of every Buell wheel out there. |

Fat_B I want to get a picture of your bike next to mine at Buelltober fest. It will be like my bikes big brother. Or a Erik inspired version of the movie "twins" "Its not a Tuba" |

I was hoping someone had some cherry bomb rims on a Uly.. Maybe I'll be the first? I hope your Uly isn't Barricade orange. I love the look of the Cherry Bomb rims, but on an orange bike it might clash a bit. |

I hope your Uly isn't Barricade orange. It is.. Until this weekend. I'm transforming it into a City-U heheh, will post some pics in the Lightning fairing thread later. So it's gonna be blue for awhile, (I've got a black seat on order too) then I'm thinking of swapping for Cherry bomb plastics and wheels. |

The lightning fly screen is a no fit. But you could do that with black and the rest in Cherry Bomb. Should look great! |

The lightning fly screen is a no fit Its a fit if you change out the fairing and lose a 12v outlet. |

That yellow is really trick looking . . . these things are really turning into pallets of personal expression. That concerns me as a dull person.

That yellow is really trick looking . . . these things are really turning into pallets of personal expression. Thanks Court. It is for me a hobby when time allows. That concerns me as a dull person. I see colors pretty well. I do not see any dullness in you. At worst a semi-gloss pastel! Oh ahh......Yellow??The only picture with yellow is the school bus. The Uly in us is covered in Barricade Orange. But the technical faux-pau is that it looks like yellow. |
