So what shock is the recommended variant for dropping the A$$ end of the new CR & R? I have a customer that is 5-4 and wants to be more on the flat of her foot than up on her toes. The XB12scg fits perfect, so looking for that kind of overall seat height. (she really wants watercooled though) |

well, the first thing im going to say is no dropping the rear without dropping the front. the poor bike would be all kinds of confused! just dont do it!!! secondly i know of no one that has lowered an 1125 yet. may have happened, but ive seen nothing of it. the suspension is way different than the xb's so i do not believe the scg stuff will work. on top of that she will not be able to get it to the scg height without serious changes. there is no low seat for the r's or 1125's so that is where half of the scg comes from is the low seat. then about another 1"-1.5" of suspension. my gf is 5'4" and rides a low XB9RL firebolt though. |

IIRC, 1125chick had her bike lowered. I haven't seen her around here in a while, PM her. |

i was thinking she just tried to mod the already sparse foam in the seat, but maybe she went farther with it. http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/ 349663.html?1207696141 she did have them messing with the preload, but i would think it would ride like crap but what do i know. |

let the debate continue.... She picked up the 09 XB9SX with a slim Scg Seat. Rode out yesterday. Sometimes the simple answer is the one that gets it done. Gotta love a City-X |

getting low with the licenseplate..... I had the same licenseplatebracket(I made it myself)on my firebolt for 3 years with no problems,so I made 1 for my new 1125R.
