Just broke the belt not happy at all, wound the throttle on pretty hard coming out or a corner in second and zing no more drive. it's a clean break no sign of prior damage but here is another split in the outside of the belt and no sign of damage on the inside.

I have read here that they are a lifetime warranty object, does anyone know where that is written as i cant find it in the owners manual?

I believe the belt in only covered under the 2 year unlimited mileage warranty.

I have considerable fraying on the edge of my belt and it rides ~.030" over the pulley's edge. The fraying is only along about 25% of the belt's length. I'm watching it closely.

The belt is a lifetime part, not a lifetime warranty. That means it is designed to not need replacing unless it fails.

I had a belt fail yesterday. Left me stranded for 4+ hours on the side of the road waiting for rescue.

The belt just pulled apart. There's no eral fraying except at the point it failed. At the time of failure, I wasn't doing anything significant, it just popped off and that was it... no drive.

Looking at the belt, there's nothing that could have been seen by examination to make one think it wasn't in good shape. No wear, no cracking, etc. It looks good.

There haven't been a lot of posts about belt failures on the 1125r, but it does happen. And when it does, you are just S.O.L. I lost out on a good 2-day ride in AR this weekend because of it.

My 1125r has 25k on it. Mostly "sporting" rides. But, I'm not wheelie or even full throttle prone.

It should would be nice if there were something we could do to see if a belt has issues before a ride. I like the system for the reasons others have mentioned, but it seems like the difference between "everything's OK" and "you are hosed" is an impossible-to-determine delta.

I may start replacing every 3 oil changes as a precaution. ??
