quote"And the childish & petty threats are downright ignorant. Perhaps everyone should be impressed or scared when someone states "I weigh 280" big fuckin deal, probably just a fat lard ass with a massive beer gut. I go 220 myself&ifanyone at anytime wants to have a go at me, Id be more than happy to kick your ass." See now...that is the childishness of which I speak. I know a lot of people who weigh at least 280 who have very low body fat%. I honestly don't think anyone is trying to "scare" you or intimidate you. (Although I remember a time when the topic of my weight, scared a few sniveling cowards to post anonymous.) I believe it is a case of defensive behaviour, just as you have shown. No harm no foul...We are all grown-ups here(excepting maybe Rocket and Capt Petey),we can take it. Just tone down the attitude toward others when posting. You're not mad at the people here. No one has done you wrong(that I know of) within this surly bunch of hooligans. It is the bike and it's makers that have caused you to become disenchanted with the motorcycle you wanted to love. And at some point you need to let that go or else you are letting them control, the rest of your life? not good... |

I picked up the FZ in Ga. it's a 2001(there are no changes in any of'em)has 2400 miles and has a small boo boo on the tank. The guy also armoralled the tires....now THERE'S a moron. It's blue, extremely clean, runs perfect. there is another one in N.C. for an excellent price. 2001, $5900. A lot of carbon goodies, low miles, D&D carbon pipe. I have his # around here somewhere. |

Best lesson for the Armorall crowd, Armorall their car seat and car tires, then tell them to go turn figure 8's around light poles in a parking lot without wearing their seatbelt. Works better if they have a bench seat. |

All, when I posted the adds for responses to Court's inquiry on the other boards I asked the members to show some restraint. For the most part they did. I was hoping for an open and honest assessment of Buell satisfacton/dissatisfaction. Knowlege is good. I'm just a wimpy 180 lb. moron who's Buell broke and left him stranded during a BRAG ride. Paul, Apart from the gen board here I think the survey threads are going well, much better than anticipated I think. And if you read into the trends there are some interesting aspects if you cross-check the results between the two surveys. Primarily, my opinion here, better parts inventory and service competance and efficiency, and less attitude from Harley-deciples at dealerships, would do wonders to help Buell as a brand. Anyway, just my general observations. Oh, that and the X1 seems to be the most skewed towards disatisfaction if you track the results by model. Interesting. But, yep, this site is not a full representation of Buell owners. This is more a reflection of people who: one, have internet access; two, find the time to use the internet; three, have also taken the time to discover this and a few other Buell focused sites; and four, are either here to share a common like for the brand or are here to help solve problems with their bike or are here to research the brand before buying one. The users of this site are not a true cross-section of the total Buell audience, but they/we are a valid assemblage of people just the same in our own right. And as for size, I'm not what I seem but some say I am, it's all a matter of perception and application. How's the fishing lately? You're probably in your river boat more than the bigger one lately. Wish I were out there, but I'm here, and so it goes. |

SteveM123 Quote:point 3. I never heard of a stock or Buell manufactured race muffler falling off. Only the aftermarket ones until they finally got it right.
Jim, do you want to handle this one, or should I? I'll leave it at this: you may not have heard of any; however, I have personally seen a half dozen Buell exhaust systems come apart. You're sick of whining. I'm sick of people blaming the owners for all the problems. Vik |

Hey Rog, I e-mailed you about sunday. No can do buddie. Working overtime, gotta pay for the parts & the new paint scheme somehow. Pammy, correct you are about my attitude towards Buell. Its not anyone here on this board that I am pissed or that actually do anything about it. Its a place to vent. Although I believe a few of these "anon" posts are company employees. Even then, its not Joe or whoever on the line thats slapping turn signals on a bikes fault. Its the companies fault for not backing their product & their customers. People here want to take it personally when I say Buells suck. Chill out people & go for a ride or something. |

I've seen too many Buell Race Pipes snap in half. Mine included. The last one was Happy's on a ride with myself and Greg. And in some morbid twist of fate, I always wind up working on other people's exhausts as evidenced by Happy's incident as well as helping? / performing Lurch's trans fluid change. I hate Buell exhausts! |

Next poster that says anything mean must call BrianH on the telephone and listen to him for one hour while he enthusiastically extoles the infinite virtues and capabilities of his ZX-12R. You will then be required to write, 100 times, "The ZX-12R is the fastest most powerful motorcycle ever made, and it is reliable too." The naughty word filter is poised and ready to return to active duty. Interestingly, Cecil (BrianH) is now one of the more sane voices of rationality. Life is short. We basically live our lives based upon how we perceive reality, not actually on reality itself. It is how we shape our perceptions that govern whether or not we are happy or unhappy. I choose to be happy. At the same time I can be concerned about issues that interest me. But in the end, a motorcycle doesn't amount to a hill of beans; if I perceive it's worth as substantial enough to impinge on my relationships with others, I am missing the true blessings of this earthly existence. That would be unfortunate. Snail, I assumed that the speed limiter can be easily circumvented. Thanks for the correction on the Busa being the true fastest stock motorcycle. You anony posters... No more anony! Asking advice anonymously? C'mon! No, they are not factory people. |

Ok, just to even things out.... Aprilia parts availability SUCKS. Been waiting for a new LCD dash for a month, no calls from the dealer to let me know whats going on either. Good Times Kawa/Zuki/Duck/Aprilia (the local slime hole dealer) sucks royal monkey ass. FMJ - where ya staying? we're booked into the Stateline. When ya headed out? whanna caravan? The Busa is most certainly the SECOND fastest stock motorcycle in 2002. I have literature to prove it! We Kwaker guys can never catch a break man. FJM, you're hitting way below the belt with your comments. Cecil = KXKIDD and Dyna? Cecil is in a class by himself my friend. When those two get to "curse word" status, then we'll talk. But until then, keep your insults to yourself. And don't you think Cecil is much more entertaining and better thought out? And my last thought for the day, why is Aaron always at the center of the disgruntled owners' ire? |

Brian/ Cecil..plz tell me more about this "curse word" status. And I agree that your arguments are better thought out. I just love to rattle the lil monkeys cage every now & then. And Aaron loves the attention, its like they say. negative attention is better than none at all. Besides I guess someone has to climb Mt Buell & plant the loyalty flag for all of the local Buell monkeys. |

Ahhhhh you know what i find hilarious about this little Bitch fest. EVERYTHING!! How many of you go to car BBS's and bitch about how much there car's suck. I mean really if you don't like Buell then hey you don't like Buell. Hell I am not to fond of Hondas or Busas but I'm not over at LaBusus goin, " What are you guys doin?? Tryin to kill yourselfs? You'll never reach the full potential of your bikes. BLA BLA BLA BLA." Just remember one think Aaron and Blake, Only a fool takes up a fool's argument. |

I dont go to car BBS's & bitch because my vehicles have been rock solid. I have a 98 Chevy Tracker, actually made by Suzuki & it has given me 54,000 absolutely perfect miles with not so much as a hiccup. I also have a 90 Ford Ranger 4x4 that runs great & gives me no problems at all. In fact my Ford is what I use to haul the Buell all around the country |

"Joking aside Cecil, without Aaron's input in our worldwide community, I wouldn't have met the friends I have now from this Buell thing." I don't doubt that Sprocket. I wasn't attempting to take a shot at Aaron either. Merely pointing out how he draws a lot of attention from the world of lost Buellers. Next time you venture to this side of the pond, you really should check out the Tri-State Trash area. But bring your beer goggles. You'll need 'em. |

Now this may get long so be patient. I have been reading this whole discussion(can we still call it that?)and cat fight is what comes to mind. People here suggesting other folks here are a few matches short of a book...tsk, tsk. I never thought things would get this bad..... ____________________________________ Truer words have never been spoken. Good post Pammy. And you suck! FZ1 for $5k? I'm jealous. Looking for a third bike myself. Still up in the air, but looking at a VMax, Bandit 1200, FZ1, ZRX11/1200, and quite possibly a SV650. Cheap being the main ingredent to the mix. Someone else's slightly dented pride and joy, like the one you bought is the best way to buy a bike. That's how i got my RC 51 for $6500 last year. |
