More Expensive! I'm not too fond of the new Monster styling of the 696 and now this. But I dont like the 1125's either. |

I like it! But it does look as if there should be and exhaust can underneath, (awful lot of room down there!) |

My 2ยข: When will Ducati stop using what appears to be cheap Tupperware on the handlebars for brake fluid reservoirs? Mars the appearance of an otherwise fine looking line of bikes. |

Chainsaw, I agree. If they just made it black. It ruins an otherwise great looking bike. |

Racerboy piss-cup reservoirs aside, I still can't understand the reasoning behind the saddle design. It looks like it was made for people without nads, or people very unfond of their nads, because that saddle angle will keep your junk mashed against that tank all day long! |

I'll take it over a 1125cr any day. |

For 2009, Ducati is taking those design elements from the Monster 696 and applying them to the 1100cc models, the Monster 1100 and the Monster 1100S. Weighing 371 pounds and 369 pounds, respectively, these new Monsters will be the lightest big bore nakeds available Add Some clip-on's and I'm in love.. |

Wonder how much it *really* weighs. That bike would be on my short list if I didn't love my 9sx. And I wasn't jonsing for an XT. Or a Hypermotard. Nice bike though! |

It's the first monster that I like the looks of, ever. |

I kinda like it, except for the mufflers, they seem to have a funny taper on them (same as 696). The silver with red frame looks nice too. I still think the original M900 Monster with a set of carbon Termi's is one of the best looking bikes ever made. |

http://www.monster.ducati.com/resources/wallpaper/ 1280x800_m1100.jpg Looks pretty good. I'd love to see an all white version. White tank, White frame, White Rims. |

With Termi carbon pipes it will look great as long as the rest of it is blacked out. The 696 is very light. I did a biceps curl with it. Well not quite but it is way lighter than my XB. There is supposed to be a super secret liquid monster on the way a la S4R that may be interesting. Spidey won't believe it though. As far as being a nad crusher, it should only bother those pussies that are on the brakes all the time or just cruising around restin' on their marble bag. LOL} |

I like the looks. Love the single sided swing-arm. Add some pipes, remove the passenger pegs and move the license mount back and that thing will be bad-ass. I heard the rumor about a liquid cooled version based on the 1098 engine too. Sounds interesting but I have never liked how the exposed radiator and lines looked on past liquid Monsters. |

That article was key to me getting my first Buell. S1w all white. Three days before an silverhair totaled it out. Now I am sad. |

I would buy that before any current Buell product. That is if I had to replace my M2, fortunately I don't! |

The new Monsters are hideous... and not in a good way, either. I figured Ducati would have learned from the 999 that an evolution of styling is better than a revolution. They went 'revolution' and got 'revolting' instead... again. |

You must have me mixed up with Paint_shaker's GS buddies. Never had a Beemer... ... but I wouldn't mind the right one like Rubberdown's HP2. |

I own a 999 and happen to like it very much. There is talk in the Ducati world that these will be one of the more sought after models because of their distinct looks. I personally think the 999 is one the most beautiful bikes ever built. I guess to each their own. Buell owners certainly should not cast stones when it comes to looks. I'm all about function over form. |
