I have a bent front fork on my XB9 that is causing the seals to leak. Sucks, but what can one do? Replace the front end right? Well, actually I've been wanting to swap triple clamps from a Uly and fork tubes from a TT. Is it possible to assemble the triple trees and tubes separately then graft them onto the frame later? The reason I ask is so that I can work with a shop to do the part that I am not equipped to do, then pick up the new front end and mount it. But I have no clue if that is how it can be done, or if the clamps must be installed on the frame before the tubes can be inserted. Any ideas? I am very green around the motorcycle garage as you can tell.

What part are you not equipped to do? All you need is a lift and some basic hand tools. Also, I'm not sure if the TT forks will fit the Uly triples. Not saying they won't, I just don't know.

You can either install the triples first and then do the legs, which might be the earier way. That is the way that I always remove my front end.

You can also install your lower triple tree on your fork legs ahead of time, and stick that on the bike using the upper triple at a later date if you need.

Might be able to better tell you if we know what part you're unable to do yourself.
