I had been studying C# in preparation for this gig, but so far all the projects they have given me have been ASP pages using VBscript and javascript. I need to keep studying though as I'm sure they'll have me working on .net projects soon. |

Hey guys- looking forward to seeing some of you later this week. Has anybody gotten a gas report from Suches? The 3% guys say gas is scarce in Atlanta. I was just checking on line to see what I could find out; evidently the Aiken, SC/Augusta, GA area has had shortages for a week or so. I'm planning on riding up on Thursday; I'm a little antsy about gas with a 180 mile range. |

Some pics of the madness... An event like this really brings out the ruffians...
Notice the red vehicle whizzing by in the background. Nice 'street' bike:
Now starts the section of "stuff I just didn't 'get'".
American Hero PINK shirts? WTF?
It get's 'better'...
Notice how the Buell looks like a dwarf compared to it.
I'd turn my head too if someone was taking a picture of me riding something like that. When I said it got 'better', I actually meant more... er, well you know...
Cleared over stickers - my favorite!
Now that's a deal! Where else are you going to find Genuine Biker Shirts for 20 bucks? I wish I had had this set up when that damn geezer in the Pacifica minivan pulled out slowly and into my lane this afternoon on 64.
I'd say I've fully used this tire.
That's just as I parked the bike after getting home this evening. Too bad the tires that I expected to arrive Friday didn't arrive yet. I sure hope they arrive tomorrow... Good seeing everyone and meeting new faces - Sportymark, Sportymark's Subaru friends, Rubberdown, Rubberdown's friend, Spike, Mrs. Spike, Mrs. Sportymark, Jordan, all the eye candy at the bikefest, all the beer after the bikefest, the 54 mm front fork steering damper clamp, the list goes on and on so I think I will stop now... 1313 |

Hugh the gas situation has improved considerably here in Charlotte over the weekend. They are saying it should be back to normal by mid week. Atlanta gets their gas from the same pipeline so I assume the situation should be improving there as well. |

yeah the event was "meh" but the company was great. there were soe choice "bikes" among the crowd... Lessons learned over the weekend 1. let brankin use his own bottle opener! 2. Don't try to outdrink when average alcohol is 8-11 percent per beer 3. The ultimate poser has fake nitrous purges and air suspension. 4. Know when to find a car over a bike 5. Z06 vettes are great tow vehicles! 6. Horchata! 7. if you want your biek to get noticed ou need to make it look liek an animal of some sort (dragon, buffalo....) I am thinking maybe harbor seal? |

Last week sucked. After much suffering, cranberry juice, a course of antibiotics, an STD test, and not one, but two CAT scans, I am happy to report that I am just fine. This week is looking up. |

Mark - It appears as though someone swiped my car door with their bumper. No dents, but the paint is badly scratched. Can you recommend a body shop? |

Ulyman - I'm so sorry to hear your leave turned out the way it did. I'm sure deployment plays havoc on a marriage. When you come back again on leave, several of us are in the BRAN, give us a call and we'll plan a ride. |

Hi guys, I have so much going on, and I had to drop my internet connection at home that I haven't gotten to say hi. I went to the bike Fest Saturday kinda early to beat the crowds. I rode the new CR first and it just didn't steal my heart. Most likely it was because on the Demo ride you never get to the Helicons speed and power ranges. And it stumbled a couple of times once badly at about 4500 rpm in a curve, and I definitely didn't like that. I rode a 09' SS and really enjoyed it. The engine improvements and the new suspension was impressive and quite enjoyable, I enjoyed the entire ride, and was quite comfortable. It was a sad day as it reminded me how much I miss my bike. Mike the bike led the first run and then he disappeared but he was doing well when I saw him. Hope he is doing ok, after his excursion. It was nice, but I was sad that I had to get in my cage and drive home. Hope everyone is doing well. Larry |
