Really I went through about a 3 minute rain shower on the way home from the dealer Sunday. Today I found about a tablespoon of water in the head lamp housing. Took the flyscreen off but dont see anything out of place or cracked. I havent got the service manual yet (on order) any ideas ? or maybe a copy of the page of the manual to remove the housing ? C |

Need to refill your headlamp fluid and watch for the leak. A seam somewhere must not have been fully glued. Take it to the dealer. |

Got the headlamp housing off and looks as though it may have gotten in from around the boots from the bulbs. Drying it out, gonna put the boots back on see what happens. Housing is sealed, looks good. Dealer is an hour away so if it happens again "back we go". Hopefully not more than a drop in the bucket! Ha Ha Just some info for all u CR's to may look for C. |

perhaps that's the issue with the turn signals, people aren't checking the blinker fluid regularly. I think we're on to something. |

If you think the Halogen blinker fluid is expensive, Check out the LED fluid. Not only expensive, but you just can't find it! Rob |

Damn, more things to service, headlight fluid, blinker fluid. I wonder if people use regular or synthetic headlight & blinker fluid? What about the muffler bearings? Guess we should use ceramic muffler bearings? And, where in the heck do i find a set of left handed tools? Oh yeah that's right,.... most call them metric. NEW BLINKER FLUID CHECK PROCEDURE : AS OF 9/24/08 Ride motorcycle and let the turn signal blink for 10 minutes while riding in a circle .(do not let feet touch ground while riding in circle ) Turn blinker off and stop riding . Loosen blinker fluid reservoir cap . Then hold bike upright for another 3 minutes , be careful not to tilt bike . Fluid should appear between hash marks . NOTE : If changing blinker fluid , DO NOT use indicated amount in manual , you need to use less than indicated , how much less were not sure . If performing cold blinker fluid check ........add at own risk. |
