Does anybody know the difference between the Pirelli Diablo T tires that are OEM for Buells and the regular Pirelli Diablos?(other than the $52.44 difference in price) Is this another case like the special D-208 Dunlops that were lighter than the regular D-208 tires? It's getting close to time to buy tires for Terri's Ss and she isn't sure whether she wants to replace with OEM tires, or maybe try Diablo Stradas. I'm pretty happy with the Stradas on my XT, and we'll probably go that route, but we would like to know what makes the OEM tires so much more expensive. |

My understanding was that Buell requested specially designed tires to be lighter than the stock models in order to reduce unsprung weight. |

The Diablo T was actually originally produced for Triumph (hence the "T"). They happen to work very well for Buell too. Just in case your local chrome emporium is overcharging for your tires, you can get them at the local Triumph dealer too. |

I got one through the local Suzuki dealer. Quite a bit cheaper than the stealership. Took them the wheel and they m&b for a 20 spot. |
