Hi! I've been riding my Buell Blast for about 6 months now and am thinking about upgrading. I've heard great things about the XB9. I've also heard that the XB12Ss is better for a "larger" rider. I'm 6', 230 lbs. Any recommendations? Is the power difference huge? Thanks for your advice. |

I think you'll find the torque difference is more noticeable. Only way to know for sure is to ride each. Test ride time! |

I thought the XB9 would be too small after test riding the CityX. I found out that with the low seat installed I'm quite comfortable on my XB9S. I top out at 6'- 0" and about 210. I, too, came from a Blast. Either XB will be a quantum leap in power compared to the Blast. Test ride both and decide which you like. |

I only lasted 2 months on the blast and got my xb12. Now's a good time to buy. Good deals on the 08. Just wait 'till you see how much faster they are than the blast! The SS does have more room for the passenger. |

Ergonomics between the 2 bikes are similar, the main difference is the handle bars. Things to note: the 2009 SS is the 2008 STT minus white plastics and the beak. As result the 2009 SS is much taller than the XB9SX because of the STT suspension. The SS also has the better motor, ZTL2, bigger seat, the 4.4 gallon frame and longer wheelbase. There is an orange CityX running around that thinks its a STT. Makes me wonder why the owner just dosen't trade the damn thing in already |

Makes me wonder why the owner just dosen't trade the damn thing in already Cause he knows it'd be a losing deal. He works for the dealership, unless of course he went somewhere they didn't know him or the bike... |

Equity. And had they had the TT when I was buying, I would have bought that bike! Here it is day one march 2006. The cleanest she ever was. She has been slightly modified since
