One thing is I was WAY OFF on when "Velveeta" would have been playing. I used to hear it around 1982 NOT 1992. Thanks for trying, been fun to see what comes up along the way.

Think I may have found it but no mp3s or videos yet. Lethal Yellow Miami - Declaration Of Retardation 7" Stench 009, 1984? PS (Grilled Cheese Sandwiches / In The Mess / Cockroaches // Velveeta } / Spastic And Proud / The Obnoxious Song) Lethal Yellow | Lethal Yellow played goofy, sophomoric punk rock. Their greatest release was entitled Declaration of Retardation, and they lived up to their reputation. They never ceased to delight or annoy listeners with their high pitched sing-song vocals. It's sad to realize their impact was so limited. (Message edited by miamiuly on September 22, 2008)

That was of the time when the Violent Femmes were around. That's another group I still like to listen to every once in a while.

Nah, I am 99% sure it is by Lethal Yellow especially since they were from Miami. Lethal Yellow Miami - Declaration Of Retardation 7" Stench 009, 1984? PS (Grilled Cheese Sandwiches / In The Mess / Cockroaches // Velveeta / Spastic And Proud / The Obnoxious Song) Even this seems to describe it Lethal Yellow played goofy, sophomoric punk rock. Their greatest release was entitled Declaration of Retardation, and they lived up to their reputation. They never ceased to delight or annoy listeners with their high pitched sing-song vocals. It's sad to realize their impact was so limited.

This is more like Ska, but I like it. Memories of Treasure Cay- Bahamas. Shame and Scandal Peter Tosh- the madness performance was better sound quality. This is an interesting performance from 1972 Lot of people have recorded it. (Message edited by miamiuly on September 22, 2008)

Another (coincidentally) cheese related song that I love. Saw Yellowman in Gainesville at a small club- nice guy. Punk and Reggae go together anyway. "If all the girls lived across the sea, what a great swimmer Yellowman would be." Yellow like cheese. Zungguzungguguzungguzeng Stil be a lady Love letter

I know it is a dumb song but I've listened to velveeta probably 20 times since you found it for me. I can see why "Toast" made me remember it. Brings back some smokey memories though.

Adam and the ants were 'new romantics'. I remember them as some of the first videos shown on MTV. Speaking of which, not punk either, but the first video they played on MTV. Adam Ant- Friend or Foe with Scandal as opening act was my first concert at about age 10.
