I have the Harbor Freight lift and it tends to "sag" with the crappy seals. I'd recommend the Handy lift - having worked with both... but if you DO get a HF lift, fabricate some hard stops so that when the crappy seals start to wear out, you aren't constantly pumping it back up every few minutes. I have heard that some HF lifts do better than others... maybe their quality control is a little lacking??? (like that would be a real surprise) Again, the HANDY is really great but not really cheap. From memory, the HF one is less than $300, the Handy is more than $700 | ||

just to get the rear tire off the ground i've used two jackstands and a piece of rebar thru the axle | ||

I also use a similar one to the HF. My friends handy lifts are way nicer but for the money this one works fine. Big thing I found was to buy a Handy cycle vise and bolt it to the HF lift, this sturdys up the front end instead of the included baby vise. | ||

Looks like the chinese already upgraded the front wheel clamp and are charging an extra $100.00 for it plus air capacity on a newer model.  |
