September 20 and 21, Saturday and Sunday, is this year's Demo Days at Liberty! On Saturday the 20th, this year, in addition to the Buell Demo Truck and Harley Demos, live music by World Within, Dyno Shootout and food, we have the honor of hosting a Book Signing with Dave Gess and Court Canfield! They'll be here to sign their awesome book 25 Years of Buell! There may be a few other little suprises popping up, and we'll let you know as it happens. Come on down, take out a Demo and grab some cool Buell gear. ->ChelleM (Sorry, post edited to be more clear about the dates - the Demo truck is Saturday and Sunday, but all the main stuff is Saturday only.) I was able to get down last year, may try to do it this year, too. Depends if I'll have the new bike yet or not. |

Damn, I'm teaching an MSF class that weekend. I need to get that book - maybe someone will be nice enough to get me one signed and send it up if I pay for it... |

Pat - will do. This is literally the weekend I'll be getting the new bike, so I'm game if that goes according to plan and the weather holds out. If not, I'll need to keep the miles off of the old one. |

Court and I are pretty pumped to do this open house. Should be great fun and a chance to see folks who couldn't get out to homecoming. Dave |

Any chance of seeing Erik? It was great to meet him last year. |

Dave + Court || Michelle: Are you guys going to be there both days? Tis about 400 miles Round Trip for me to ride down, just attempting to plan out the trip to make sure I can get My Book Signed (well that and see the nice folks at liberty again, and perhaps get to Go on Demo (last year was a bit damp ). -Patrick |

Unfortunately, Erik can not make it this year. He is understandably busy planning the next big Buell thing, and he will be missed for this party. He will be there in spirit, and we will have enough fun for him too. All the best to Ed, Ed and the other Erik, too. We are ecstatic to have Dave Gess & Court to be here to sign copies of their book and to talk about all things Buell. I know Dave will be here for Saturday, and Court sightings at our shop are on the rise, but if you're planning on getting your copy of "25 Years of Buell" signed, I would plan on being here Saturday the 20th. |

>>>Any chance of seeing Erik? Not this year but, trust me, no one is more disappointed that Erik and he's already mumbling about next year. This thing started as a joke one day when Erik and I were (under threat of physical harm from our wives if we didn't) conscripted to what we call "Cultural Immersion Weekend" where our wives force us to free ourselves of the bounds of motorcycling and participate in cultural (i.e. Broadway shows) weekend. We made an announced at the last minute morning trip to Liberty and found about 100 folks there. The HD folks were bowled over. Since then it just grew. Nonetheless, we're going to have a GREAT time this year and for those of you coming a long way no one will leave without their book signed. Dave and I, even in our advancing years, are agile and flexible and we will be wherever you want us. This looks like it will be a blast. Court P.S. - I know for a fact that Michelle has a special on the few leftover t-shirts. For like $20 you get all THREE YEARS of "The Thunderbolts" shirts including:
- 1st Annual World Tour
- Music Matters
- Obey

Here's the list of bikes on the demo truck next Saturday (Sept. 20): XB 12R XB 12R XB 12SS XB 12SS XB 12SCG XB 12SCG XB 9SX XB 12X XB 12XT 1125R 1125R 1125CR 1125CR No Blasts this time, for some reason. Which is too bad, because people have been asking about Blasts - great fuel mileage, blah blah. So that's the update! Hope to see everyone there! Well, here! ->ChelleM |

No Blasts this time, for some reason. Which is too bad, because people have been asking about Blasts - great fuel mileage, blah blah. Wow! That is a bit weird. You would think this would be the little guys time to shine considering the current fuel prices/ economic situations. Oh well still can't wait to visit with you good folks anyway. |

AND Sunday. I always forget sunday. If it's busy and you don't get on the bike you want on Saturday, come back sunday and try one! Come back Sunday and try the same one again! Whatever! The more rides we get in, the happier I am. And yes, I was also suprised about the blast thing. This is their big shot - we've been telling everyone about how great they are, 72 MPG and all, but better than scooters because you can take them on the highway, blah blah. Can I test ride one?? Uh, no. No you can't. ->ChelleM |

I think its my fault about the Blast. I demoed one at the Danbury event a few weeks ago, and something was out of whack, possibly clutch or primary chain. I voiced my concerns with the demo guys and they thanked me and told me they would take care of it. Why knew they would dump it off a cliff instead |

Gee, thanks Froggy! Next time you decide to ride on the Railroad Tracks behind Danbury yelling" Look at me I'm Steve McQueen!", do it on a Nightster! |

Well. I guess it got taken care of. Sheesh. Seriously though, you'd think they'd have another one laying around somewhere. BUT anyway, there's still 13 bikes to choose from. And they're all good ones! ->ChelleM |

BTW the hotel they've been building in Downtown Rahway has been completed. It is, quite literally, half a block from us. It's nice, brand new, and within walking distance of not just the allure of new harleys and buells, but at least 3 bars I can think of off the top of my head, and at least 3 or 4 restaurants, 2 of which I go to regularly. We haven't negotiated rates yet, as they have only been open a few weeks, but I just did a quick internet search and they have king rooms listed online for $99 plus taxes. The site is Hotel Indigo, and the location is Rahway, NJ. www.hotelindigo.com In case you want to stay over and demo both days. You can ride all day, drink all evening and stagger home to the hotel, waking up refreshed and ready for more riding on Sunday. :P ->ChelleM |

Looks like the weather is gonna cooperate. Court and I will be up there on Saturday, signing books and telling lies. Come by and give us a hard time. We will we if we can remember some of those stories we couldn't put in print. |

Yes I noticed the weather when I checked yesterday. No need for some badwebbers to run around barefoot while their boots dry! Oh yea, is there going to be name tags again? I thought that it was a great idea last year, despite it being soaking wet and they wouldn't stick to anything. (Message edited by froggy on September 17, 2008) |
