What parts are replaced under the headlight recall? is it the entire headlight assembly(bracket and all) or do they just replace the projectors? If you have less than mint headlights(had a small fender bender and the high beam bucket and bracket below the high beam got cracked) will they still honor the recall? |

Just the projectors I *think* They out to if your bike falls within the recall |

My dealer only replaced the two headlight beams (as stated in the service bulletin), not the entire bracket. |

Look here for before and after pix. Old headlights had 21k miles on them, and those were replaced once before. Hopefully the new improved headlights incorporate a protective coating on the reflector material to ensure full brightness with no premature degradation. |

and they don't install new bulbs.........at least the shop I took mine to didn't. Ditto...and I specifically asked and was flat-out lied to about it. That being said, even without a bulb change they are MUCH improved. Time will tell if that's simply because they're new or if they'll actually hold up better than the original reflective coating. |
