Just a little reminder, as my thread was archived, this Saturday, Sept. 20, is Liberty's Open House. We've got the Buell Demo Truck, a Dyno Shootout, live music, food, blah blah. But this year, we're proud to welcome Court Canfield and Dave Gess, authors of 25 Years of Buell to sign their awesome books and perhaps tell stories that didn't make it to the book. For all the bikes and the details, visit our Sponsor Site thread. Hope to see everyone there!

That will be an AWESOME ride from Niskayuna. . you are going to be coming through some of my favorite areas. Don't be surprised if you see Dave and I our riding. We're kind toying with doing the midnight tour of Manhattan (there are famous all night cheesecake and coffee joints) and may just keep riding until we head for Liberty the next day. Looks like perfect weather. |

Ahh Midnight Tour of Manhattan, sounds like fun. I spent many a night putting around NYC on a bike during college. I think I am going to go down 9W for most of the trip, eventually hook over on RT6 and then take 17 to the GSP (I don't know NJ roads that well). Heres hoping on good weather. Last yeah when we came down. the weather was awesome til we got just south of Mahwah. Then the skies opened up and we had an interesting ride at 80+ on the Garden State Parkway Can't wait to see everybody On saturday. |

There are suppossed to be 2 CR's |

According to the list I was sent by Buell, there are two CRs in the fleet. XB 12R XB 12R XB 12SS XB 12SS XB 12SCG XB 12SCG XB 9SX XB 12X XB 12XT 1125R 1125R 1125CR 1125CR BUT if something bad happened to one of the bikes on the tour somewhere, they reserve the right to replace (or not) those bikes. When he gets here is when we'll know for sure what's available. I'm starting to get excited. Or nervous. At least the weather looks good. ->ChelleM |

Tell me about it - that was a miserable time. What kind of talk is that from a Badweather Biker? Now go out and find a Noreaster and ride in it until you have learned your lesson. |

It was miserable for me, then I realized i installed the Buell Heated grips a week before. Flipped the switch, "Ah, much better". Still had to hang my suit up for a few hours to get from soaking wet to quite damp. |

I said interesting, mostly due to the crazy drivers on the GSP Rain I don't mind all that much as it is better than either Hail or Snow (And yes i've ridden in both.. Hail just play hurts/sucks ) Maybe I get to ride a CR, that will be fun... (or dangerous to my wallet-- maybe I can get a govt bailout ) |

What kind of talk is that from a Badweather Biker? What sucked is the weatherman predicted a PERFECT ride for way down and a decent chance of rain on the way back. I had rain gear packed but not on. It started to rain, like Doon said, but it friggin' downpoured about 2 miles from Liberty. Totally soaked. While at Liberty, the weather never really broke until it was time to leave. By the time we were back in New York, the weather was perfect - sunny and warm - and stayed that way for the whole ride home. Just a messed up day. Oh, and I've ridden in far too much bad weather for a Noreaster to even phase me, lol. |

While at Liberty, the weather never really broke until it was time to leave. I got to ride dry both ways (albeit I am only 45 miles away.) but it was a weird "dank drizzle" kind of day though everybody there seemed to be having a good time. Good news is the forecast is gangbusters this weekend. True Autumn weather all around, can't wait! |

Hey Odin - I know the guy is here - have you spoken to him about the bikes yet? Do we know for sure which bikes are available? I guess I could just call you. Hmm. ->chellem |

They should just bring a whole truck full of CR's. I have a bad feeling that once I ride one I will be buying one. Hell I am still tempted to pick up an 08 leftover R. |

We have a few spots filled in for the Dyno Shootout already on the schedule, so if you know for sure you're coming and are interested, please visit www.libertyharley.com/service and click on the dyno shootout ad to register online for the shootout. Or, ya know, call us. (732-381-2400, x27) Depending on weather, the schedule could get filled up, and due to the restrictions placed upon us by physics as it relates to space and time, we can only do so many in one day. Man I love the sound of that dyno rattling our service walls. Fun fun fun. ->ChelleM |
