Before posting this I did search the archives and found just a few posts about this problem - but no solutions. So I'll go ahead and ask... I have a Scorpion EX400 helmet, my first helmet for my first bike. The anti-fog seems to work as advertised since I've not experienced any fog even as the weather starts to turn a bit cooler. However, what I am getting on these colder morning rides to work is a build-up of condensation on the inside. It starts in the lower left and works it's way quickly across the entire bottom of my face shield, to the point that I can't see anything out the lower 1/4 of my shield. Through all this, absolutely no actual fog occurs, just a bunch of wet, sight diminishing condensation. I've tried vents all open, vents all closed, vents partially opened, etc. No change. This morning was particularly bad. I love the helmet in all other aspects. So rather then replacing it I'd prefer to see if anyone has suggestions that have worked for them to stem the condensation problem. |

Same thing happens with my EX700. No fogging of the shield itself but a lot of moisture on the inside of the shield impairing visibility. I noticed that the shield does not seal against the helmet at all. I've always wondered if that's the source of the condensation. My Shoei RF1000 sucks just as bad in cold weather. No condensation but the shield is very pro fogging. Riding in the cold coastal fog used to be a burden until I got the Nolan N102 modular with the large pin lock inner no-fog insert. That thing's always crystal clear. No fogging, no condensation. Just clarity. |

I was considering using RainX on the inside of the shield, but am concerned that it will counter the anti-fog ability and I might end up worse off. Anyone tried RainX on a Scorpion or other helmet with anti-fog? |

"...I might end up worse off." Yep, the shield probably would be toast. I tried it on the inside of my glasses one time. They fogged up almost instantly and the RainX was virtually impossible to get off. The lenses were glass however so I'm not certain about plastic. |

I haven't done it but I have read that RainX is terrible on helmet shields and regrets are common amongst those who have tried it. Caution is suggested. |
