I'd like to pick up the XB12Scg in the classifieds right now, but before I do I've gotta know what my current bike would/could go for, and more importantly if there's any interest. It's just a feeler at this point. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 394604.html?1221325911 |

I don't think you'll have a hard time selling it at the right price, you have done a TON to that bike. There isn't anything you can do to reignite the passion for the Tuber? Steering dampener, frame stiffening, something? |

After an XB there's really no hope. Mike, good luck to ya, you'll love an XB in the twisties! |

You'll definitely get less of a workout in the twisties on an XB, that's for sure. |

I have the OEM pegs/controls and mirrors I can swap back on and I can remove the ventura rack, if they're not needed. The price can be adjusted accordingly. But first I need a starting point. |

Mike, i new it wouldn't take long before you get an XB. after seeing the look on your face at Mid Ohio after riding all of the XB's. |

You have a very good lookin bike Mikey that they dont make no more . Lots of high zoot fixins on that puppy. On the other hand, you cant swing a dead cat around with out hitting an XB compared to a tuber. IMHO hold out for a decent price as the XB's will always be available and yours wont. I paid a pretty penny for my tuber because I wanted it and the seller was waiting for a dork like me to pay his outrageous price...which I did. Theres gotta be more dorks than just me.... |

Mike- When I sold my S3 I got a lot of inquiries about the extras but not the bike. I finally took off most of them that I could, reduced the price on Craiglist and sold it in a week. I sold off the extras on Badweb and came out the same as my original asking price. Good luck. |

I paid 6k for my X1 a year ago and will never regret it. KBB may not think the bike is worth that much, but I sure as hell do. Mikef - best of luck getting whatever ride you're looking for. I'm in the same boat - lusting over a blacked out 09 XB12Scg, but can't bring myself to either give up Sandra or be financially careless. And one of those options would be required for me to get a new XB |

People, I need help with an asking price here. I'd like to officially put this thing for sale. For Badweb I'm willing to leave all my farkles on the bike, if a buyer wants them. If it comes down to craigslist/ebay/cycletrader it'll go back closer to stock. Just help me out with a price. What's this worth??? (Message edited by Mikef5000 on September 17, 2008) |

I'd check Craigslist for Columbus/Cincinatti/Dayton/Zanesville/Cleveland for prices and average them out. There are a BUNCH of really nice Tubers in the Cleveland area on Craigslist right now from $3,000 to $4,500 for the nice ones. I think it's going to raise a redflag that the true mileage isn't known. |

The way it sits right now... I'd like to ask 3 grand, but I would want to get $2800 out of it. Is $2800 resonable? Otherwise I can pull the rearsets, mirrors, hand guards, throttle lock, Ventura rack, and HID light to revert it back closer to OEM, and ask less. Thoughts? Use yourself as a selling feature... 'Formerly owned by Mikef5000'. Tell them you'll throw in an autograph for free. If they say, 'WTF is Mikef5000?', just reply, 'If you have to ask, man, the price goes up'. Or use a funny blurb like,'Must sell. Girlfriend pregnant... wife mad." Tell them the bike comes with a lifetime membership to Badweatherbikers.com. Tell them it probably wouldn't be a good idea to ride the bike in North Georgia, 'Where it has a reputation'. Or tell them the excessive torque actually pulled your shoulders out of their sockets and you have to sell the bike because of doctor's orders. Tell them that since you got the M2, you got off Viagra, but now you have to sell it because it gave you permanent 'happy pants'. Tell them the bike gets you laid all the time and you have to sell it because you're just too tired. Tell them, 'Men fear me and want to be like me when I'm on the M2'. You could just start crying and beg them to buy your bike... that might work. |

mike, i would ask $3500 for it and take $3000 I'd love to! But the rough tail section and questionable mileage makes me think it's not quite up to that level. |

start high and let them work you down. that way they think they are getting a deal and you get the most $$ for your bike. it is a win win situation. i don't see any problem with you getting $3000 out of your bike. specially since it is the Mikef5000 model! |
