Go get it! Low rpm stumbles GREATLY reduced to nearly non existent. It's actually rather pleasant to ride in the 2500-3800 rpm range now. Fuel mileage up significantly. On the way to the dealer (about 35 miles of highway and 6 miles city) I averaged 37 mpg. On the way back, 42 mpg. Engine also runs much cooler in city traffic. Highest temp I saw was 195 at a long light after about a mile of stop and go. Within a mile or so of 45 mph, she was back into the mid 180's. A good bike just got alto better. Props to our friend Teach and the boys at Western Reserve HD/Buell for getting me in and out, and not making me drop off the bike like Biketown HD insisted I do. Badlionsfan, did you do the solenoid mod by any chance also? I just did the mod myself the other day and noticed improvement in the lower rpm range. Sounds like this new reflash is what we've all been waiting for. Scott |

Tell them it may not be on H-D net, but it's on the Digitech. maybe that'll help them find it. |

Pobody - I was just at the dealership yesterday...I had them look it up while i was ordering a kick ash screen and a solenoid resistor. They said they had no information on it at all. :P But they just called me and said a part was in and they wanted my bike in to install it. (no idea WTF they are talking about...some o-ring)....whatever....it was my excuse to get an appointment at the very least. I'll be sure to have them dig up the flash by the time i get in there and post up results. |

Badlionsfan - Sorry, I wasn't there to see you off. But, it sounds like everything went well. Good luck with your bike and take care, It looks like this version of the flash might be the "one"!! Jim |

No rice, that was mainly open highway riding at 70-75 mph. There was more traffic on the way home, esp in the few stop and go areas of city driving. (Message edited by badlionsfan on September 17, 2008) |

I had 38mpg today on mine coming home from work both highway avg 70mph and surface streets avg 45-55mph with moderate traffic. Can't wait until after I get this done to see the difference, dealer said tomorrow or Friday they might squeeze me in. Typically average 36mpg |

damn i'd take 37. best i have ever seen out of mine is 28mpg and it usually gets more like 21 From video evidence it appears that your poor mileage may be resulting from gas pouring onto the ground when you have your bike nearly inverted for miles at a time.(LOL) |

lol, i figured my riding style would be brought up eventually! but all kidding aside the 28mpg was on a couple hundred mile ride along with my dad on his goldwing so we werent doing anything to crazy. a few spirited bursts of speed MAYBE up to 100 and then shut it down and continue on or cruise. |

So ... the most recent reflash improves fuel mileage and <4K operation including reduced heat generation. Did you notice any change in operation >4K rpm? Can you get the # of the reflash and post it so we can all be sure of the version? |

Just had mine done, HUGE difference in low end performance, it's much, much smoother. Also gained a significant increase in mpg. Overall average had been 33 mpg for the last 3500 miles. Just the last bit of my ride home, the instant average showed 45-50 @ 75 mph. I'll get more data on my averages in the next couple of days, but it looks like it did everything it was supposed to do. Many thanks to Buzzy at Gateway H-D in St. Louis. Roughly 1 hour in and out the door again. Also, the flash revision ends in the letter Z. |

Maybe a stupid question but if the 1125 runs v lean as posted here many times, how does the 'new'flash improve fuel economy? |

Because : }Per Anonymous as of September 16th... Mixture is not richer, it's now correctly done at exactly the right time and the spark map is now right, which was the biggest issue. The bikes will not only run better, they will be cooler and the fuel mileage will be significantly better. ... It is a very good update. Just do it! |

I don't blame Blake for that. All this fuel injection stuff is like cell phones and computers, just a fad. |

Just got my ECM flashed. Talk about a different motorcycle. Throttle response is quicker and more smooth, heat is WAY down, and fuel economy seems to have improved, but I need a few more miles to get a good measure. The bike runs almost completely hiccup free through out the low R's and it has most def got the surging taken care of at in town speeds between 3000 and 5000 rpm. GET IT if you haven't! |

Just did 260mi. after new reflash.Runs very smooth at low RPM, MPG went from 35 to 45, and CT down about 10 degrees.Has anyone noticed a slight RPM increase at clutch release when taking off from idle? I know Peterbilt did this on some electronic controlled trucks to help take off under a heavy load.Could this be the case here? |

i can't wait to get my bike back. it's at the shop for the Saron install, repairs after that unintended dismount, and the 5th gear recall/new ECM update. as these positive reviews keep coming, my excitement continues to grow. |
