Dyna....Man, that sucks I glad to hear you and the mrs. are okay! After you peeled off and went on the I-90, I made a u-turn and caught I-90 south. I was traveling in the left lane at about 80. Gust of wind caught me and blew me all the way across the rumble strips. I still don't know how I managed to keep the bike on the road. I just took a deep breath, slowed down and spent the rest of the ride in the right lane. Mennis |

UBRAG BBQ HANGOVER Folks, the BBQ was fun, period. Big thanks to all who attended! It wasn't a huge turnout, but the people who came were super guests. You're all welcome at the homestead anytime! Great food, great weather, great conversation, great fire, great deal of beer. Speaking of beer, I have noticed that Buellers like the "different" brands. Bitburger? Blue Moon? I asked Wes about this and he figured Buell riders are, by nature, "different". I believe it, too. During my years as a Harley guy, I noticed a lot of Budweiser and Miller. As a Buell guy, I see the micro beers. So, here's your chance to pipe up and prove (or disprove) my theory. What's your beer of choice? |

Dyna, Glad you and the Mrs. are OK. I have only ridden to the gas station once in a brain dead moment with no helmet and shorts. I then got home and kicked my own self squarely in the ass. I don't care what anybody says about helmets and riding gear, wear it. The old saying always applies, "Machines and things can be fixed or replaced." If you need anything from Hal's that can't be taken care of over the phone, etc; I am only about 4 miles from the dealership. I also have half a garage(but not a lot of tools) that can be used for storage etc for a short period if needed. We're all glad your doing alright, if there is any doubt get you and the Mrs. checked out. 'Cause we need someone around here to stir the pot up once in a while. Ride safe, Jerry |

Dyna, glad to hear you and the wife are okay. Good call on the helmet. Like the saying goes - there are two types of motorcyclists, those that have crashed and those that will. For those in the "have" category we've been there and shouldn't need any more of a wake up call and for those that are in the other, take note. BTW, if anybody ever needs a visual aid to convince someone to wear a helmet, I've got a good one to show that when followed by the statement "Imagine if that was your head" pretty much gets the message across. Anyway, to answer Don's question: Liene's Red or Killian's. After a few I'll switch to something lighter like an MGD or High Life. After a few more it really doesn't matter much anymore. |

Oh yeah, just to reinforce the other theory. I'm bald (shaved) and have enough hair band CDs to make Dee Snider proud. |

When it's in season, Berry Weis is the King of all liquids. It just does bad things to the digestive system when consumed en masse. |

Mike, its the exit where 894 merges back with I-94, just north of the airport. I dont know how in the hell nobody ran us over. As soon as I stopped sliding & ran back behind the wife & started waving like an idiot slowing cars & semis down. I think the bike is totaled. forward controls took a hard hit & bent the frame. dennis at Hals says the damage is up in the $10,000 mark. Harleys are expensive to crash. This yr has totaly sucked. Buell dies, harley crashes, lose my job 1st part of the yr, got a pretty good one now tho. And then people wonder why I bitch & moan about Buell? hell i gotta take it out on something, the stress lvl is insane. |
