My wife said she had a picture to show me. This was it:
This is her father's truck. He was truck in the rear by a rider going 100+ running from the police in Joplin, MO. He said the shield was in the rear of the bed and that there were assorted pieces of plastic in weird places all over the place. The rider is currently alive, but in critical condition. I'd be surprised if he lives. |

I see the pickup box has a wrinkle ahead of the rear wheel. Was that caused during the accident?? Aye carrumba, he is lucky to be in critical condition. The guy coulda ended up in the wheelhouse with your father-in-law... |

Did the rider fly over the truck? This photo makes me think of the that semi-trailer photo with the rider stuck on the back |

Not bad damage considering the speed. Would love to see pics of bike and rider though. |

The dent in the side was caused by the impact. I don't have any other details as to what happened to the rider. You gotta whack a truck pretty hard to wrinkle the bed all the way up by the cab. |

You gotta whack a truck pretty hard to bend a steel tow-rated bumper like that, too. Wow. ...and people wonder why I don't run from cops (aside from the fact that I know for a fact you can't outrun a Motorola, and lots of my friends are LEOs). I hope your father-in-law is OK, both physically and mentally. That can't be fun to go through, I don't care who you are. |

What kind of mark is it??? What didja say.... A SQUID MARK!!!!! HAHAHAHHA (Badunk Csshhh!!) OK, now I can give a shiite about the poor squidkid- hopefully he'll recover and grow to be wiser. FB, glad yer pop-in-law wasn't hurt. One reason I love Buell is that for the most part the brand doesn't attract too many meatheads. When someone asks me "Can you lower it and stretch the swingarm?" or "Willit do whut it sez on the speedo?" I want to vomit. On them. Then laugh and spit on them. Then kick their ass out the door. Looking forward to Buelltoberfest II!!! (Message edited by 86129squids on September 13, 2008) |

Your father-in-law is lucky. The rider could have hit the back window of the cab and taken him out. |

They are still really shaken up. Evidently the dent at the top of the bed was where his head hit. I just can't believe he didn't come through the rear window. Just think of what it would have looked like if he'd have hit the door. |

I'm not to far from Joplin Mo.(50 miles) Been looking at www.joplinglobe.com and haven't seen anything in the police reports relating to the incident. |

I hate to sound insensitive but I hope the guy doesn't survive. 1. People that careless and stupid shouldn't be on the road endangering the rest of us. 2. If lives and goes to jail, that just costs tax payers money. |

Maybe he'll live, learn his lesson, and become an advocate of Smart Riding. That's what I'm hoping for |

Your father-in-law should go to the hospital and un-plug that jerk-off and send the family a note explaining that whatever sired that mess should've jerked-off in the sink instead. (Message edited by skinstains on September 15, 2008) |
