Has anyone ever used this stuff. I is supposed to be something like Engine Ice. I had to flush my coolant and use something that STT will allow in the intermediate group. So I drained my old coolant by using the drain plug. The service manual said to take off the left radiator hose but that thing is a pain to get to. I flushed the system with water twice. I would let the bike warm up and open the thermostat and then drain it. I then put the Liquid Performance in and let the bike idle with the radiator cap off to bleed the system. I let it cool and then topped it off(didn't take very much). So I went for a ride tonight and it got up to about 200 in town and then would cool down when I would get out of town. But the funny thing is is that the frame seemed to be hotter. It is very humid out tonight. That might have a little something to do with it. I was just curious if anybody else had used this stuff. | ||

No experience with the product in question...but I agree that the left side hose is extremely difficult to deal with...hope a bolt or petcock will be included in the next iteration of the 25r. | ||

Thermodynamically speaking, that makes perfect sense. If the cooling system/radiator is made more efficient by the additive, it will transfer more heat to the environment, i.e. the frame (b\c of the routing of the airflow on the 1125 platform.) Please keep us posted on the situation as it progresses? Rob |
