I've seen this on a few XB's on the other side of the pond and it started to grow on me. Has anybody ever thought of doing this ??? I'm just kinda thinking out of the box a bit. |

first thing I think of is the old honda F3s that came in purple and yellow. and had one of each color wheel.....haha to me, I think it would look odd, unless it was a crazy paint job and it flowed well. So on YOUR bike Bads1 it might look good! |

What about one entire side of each wheel a different color>? You make a uturn and all of a sudden your bike changes colors. |

I got tired of the paint chipping on the edges every time I changed tires so I stripped the paint around the edges. looks okay, spent a little time doing it, and I don't have to worry about chipping the paint next time. Plus the polished alluminum blends pretty good with the foot peg thingies and the steering damper. |

Dana, Have you seen Grand Stand Designs 2 colour powder coated wheels? Not sure if that's what you mean. |

I'm sorry should of been alittle more clear on my behalf. Rah7777777 has it right one color in the front and one in the rear. I'm thinking of doing a blue on the rear and keeping the amber on the front. |

i love mismatched wheels. ive thought of 1 black and 1 blue on my XB. i say go for it, but gotta be something other than blue/amber on your bike. the amber looks too stock. maybe go 1 red to match the base color then pick out an accent color from the paint work? |

I think I saw some 1125r pics that used the blue wheel and a red, looked like crap. |

Typeone, The Amber is very present in red base coat. Infact theres a ton of it. Any of the red Buell wheels do not match in any way. But the blue wheels match to a tee the blue graphics in my bike.

oh, i didnt mean that the amber doesnt match, i think they look great on there. just saying if youre gonna change, might as well go all custom |

just saying if youre gonna change, might as well go all custom I understand but at the same time I could powder coat a wheel five times before I get the color I'm after. It could get quite costly and I really like the Blue wheel anyhow. BTW It would look awesome on your bike as well. |

that bike would be smokin hot with black outters and amber inners or vise versa |

Yeah that would look good to. For some reason though I'm stuck on that blue wheel and having two different colors. Theres something to be said for some of these guys that will for no reason or if they do will think way out of the box and for instance put a orange wheel on a lime green bike. Yeah sounds like crap but then looking at it. It just works. There is art to it all its self. |

yeah, would look sweet up front tying in the other blue accents on the bike. but yeah, mo' cashish. chinashop's got a great idea too with the two-tone inner/outer. |

totally agree on the wack color combos. ive got a thing for asymmetry when its done right. off topic a bit but a friend of mine just built a fixed-gear bicycle thats gorgeous. all black with 1 lime green wheel. so sweet. |

sorry, we were all responding around the same time. wish it was easier to quote posts on this forum... for my bike i was saying i'd love to go blue up front. for yours i'd prob say the same. would make the blue accents on the frame POP. the rear would look kinda cool painted as the last color you fade to on the belt guard. keeps both wheels in the 'blue' family but id have to see a full wheel that color. |

I'd go blue in the rear just my opinion. Maybe a photochopper could jump in here |

I'm going to have to give it some thought. But either way a wheel is getting ordered by tomorrow. |

very very cursory, but you get an idea. I think the rear wheel should be the one darker. Matches the rear shock and blue in the swing arm. EDIT: I do like this combo. I really think both wheels blue would look cool as hell too. (Message edited by Buellinachinashop on September 12, 2008) |

I think the blue and amber would look cool. Like Mary Jane, but maybe with the blue on the outside and amber inside? |

i like the front blue better blue in the rear is too close to the blue shock for me, the color balance looks better with it up front but only IMO of course. either way, cant wait to see what you choose.. . |

to me, and Type its no slam on your opinion, the blue graphics on the right side of the bike seem to flow/sweep back to the rear, that and the shock being blue mix well with the rear wheel being blue. I too am very very interested in this decision. (Message edited by Buellinachinashop on September 12, 2008) |
