The bike fell over in the garage, I don't know why... I always check to make sure that it is set properly on the kickstand. Anyways, I need to replace the left pod (it damaged the flat black plastic intake part as well as the gloss black cover)and the little puck that goes on the stater cover (one with the pegasus on it). Can anyone here get that stuff? If I have to I will get it through the dealer here but they really stick it to you. Thanks in advance!

Brandon

There has to be some amount of profit calculated into it, and if you extrapolate the number already mentioned on this site alone, and add in the CR plus future production... looks like they'll be selling a lot of pods.

Kudos to Buell for such a great design... drop your bike for whatever reason and the bill is $60...

Also, thanks for not taking advantage of our mishaps and adding to the misery by gouging us. big fat +11111111111111

Ya, my Kawasaki Concours sunk into some mud when I had it parked on gravel and it rained. Dropped on it's left side. Repair estimate was $4700+. It touched most of the left side body work, and dented the gas tank. The left side saddle bag was $620 by itself. And that's a bike that had been in production for 19 years at that point and parts were still that high. I fixed it up with some used when I found a good deal and used the insurance check to pay off half the bike.

So, garage drop for less than insurance deductible = amazing.

It is a bummer it also hurt the stator cover! I can't figure out why the kickstand came out from under it! Does anyone have the part number? I had the pod ordered but I am afraid that I didn't get all of the parts that I needed... I think that they just ordered the gloss black part of the pod and not the intake/mat black part. Let me know if anyone has any insight.

You ordered the complete piece in regards to the pod. It comes assembled.

Best I can tell the outer covers with the flat black and gloss are one unit.
Radiator outer shroud left #M1034.1AMMW
Radiator outer shroud right #M1035.1AMMW

Each pod has three plastic pieces, plastic inlet duct fits between outlet ducts(fan mounts into) and outer shrouds, left and right.
From the parts book.

The stator cover is listed as the ignition cover in the parts book.

If you really need the cover and not just the plug then:

R0026.1AM Cover w needle bushing and oil seal. Retail Price:$198.62

R1021.1AM Plug with o-ring. Retail Price:$5.00

R0008.1AM Gasket for cover. Retail Price:$13.58

The kickstand is bolted to the engine with (2) 5 or 6mm socket heads.
Make sure they're tight.

yes and no. it is certainly cheaper to repair the 1125 after a down than a full fairing'd bike...but

.. dont forget about the stupid things like brake levers that will be scratched up and bar ends that are trash.. along with the clutch or stator covers that you'll be buying.

$60- probably not
$300-about right
$4500- only if i did it to a GSXR or 1098 haha

Change to shorty levers and you will miss them on a drop -- adding barends isn't a bad idea either.

Sucks about those mirrors though -- nice looking but not cheap...

The mirrors are coming off when I go to the track... They aren't very useful anyways. Yeah, I think that I am going to get the new stator cover. I will wait though. The swing arm got a little scratch as well. Can't win em all!

Pizzaboy,

Is the o-ring you are referring to the one between the clutch cover/ignition cover and the engine, or the one that goes on the "puck"? The $13 o-ring is the one between the cover and the engine. The o-ring for the "puck" is only a few dollars. The cover, comes with the o-ring for the "puck" on the clutch side if you get it as a kit, which is how they sell it now when you order the revised clutch cover. Besides, it is better to be safe than sorry. I would rather have them just restock it if it comes with the cover than have to wait another week to get one if it did not.

Just my .02

Mike
