I know that this gets forgotten, given its proximity to 9/11, so I thought I'd take a moment to remind everyone that 9/10 is Punch An Idiot Day, commemorating the occasion when Buzz Aldrin floored moon landing-denier Bart Sibrel for calling him "a liar and a coward" in public.

So I walk up to my CEO today and said, "Hey John, its punch an idiot day, Head or Gut?" He said, "Hey John, its fire an idiot day, Employment or Unemployment?"

"Punch An Idiot Day" I've been waiting decades for this day. I guess the key is to punch as many idiots as possible until you're knocked out yourself.

There is something about a 72 year old man decking a "smartass" that gives me hope for my golden years.

"I can't believe there are still people who think we didn't go to the moon..." In this guy's case, I think it more like "trying to make a buck on antique conspiracy theories". If he really believed that stuff, he wouldn't have to falsify the audio and video clips in his own documentary (see the related Youtube video that exposes him!). ~SM

"I can't believe there are still people who think we didn't go to the moon..." There was a great episode of Mythbusters a couple of weeks ago that disproved the best-known examples of "proof" that the moon landings were faked.

You know - Google Earth shows my house in great detail- Couldn't one of the scientist guys point the fancy Google earth camera at the moon and show these doubters the flag and stuff?

Couldn't one of the scientist guys point the fancy Google earth camera at the moon and show these doubters the flag and stuff? Well the cam Google earth uses is just a TAD close and in orbit above our earth, even Hubble can't see the flags from what I hear. The one true thing that shows we were on the moon and placed something there... http://www.lpi.usra.edu/lunar/missions/apollo/apol lo_11/experiments/lrr/

There is a Google moon - just like google earth, but If you zoom in too close it (edit - used to) turn to cheese. Viva Buzz. I was in grade 4, huddled in front of a Black and White TV with everyone else from Connels Point Primary School in Sydney when I saw his first show. "...even Hubble can't see the flags from what I hear." Seems with a telescope the size of a single wide trailer, you should be, but you heard right. Hubble doesn't have the resolution to make out any man made items (or Buzz Aldrins's tracks) on the moon.

The Myth Busters episode mentioned above also did a laser test. They fired a high power laser at the area of the moon where the reflector was left. They got an echo....
