some of the other boards i visit don't allow it, and makes for VERY BORING reading
perception is reality, and an argument is an attempt to change the nature of truth
i commend the MODs here for giving folks a little space to move around in, w/o deleting everything that might offend, and throwing out everybody that gets passionate about one particular issue or another. good on ya', mates
just trying to make my "handful of sand" a little bigger <hotrod, aka puffi
i LIKE all the "hot-button" discussions here some of the other boards i visit don't allow it, and makes for VERY BORING reading perception is reality, and an argument is an attempt to change the nature of truth I appreciate your point of view, and trust me, I got your point. I guess what I dislike so much about such discussions it the fact that if someone really has a polar opposite view as my own, I may dislike someone I've never met, and I really enjoy meeting BadWeBbers.
i commend the MODs here for giving folks a little space to move around in, w/o deleting everything that might offend, and throwing out everybody As far as I know there have only been two banned from BadWeB, and it wasn't for political rants or religious raving. EVERYTHING gets discussed before any action is taken.
So, y'all go ahead and be as political as you'd like, religious as you'd like. I'll only read as much as I need to, and move the threads to the proper section.

And there is the reason Internet debate will never replace good old face to face. No matter how you try to dress it , a text argument always seems so mean spirited. Those little smiley thigamajigs only go so far.
I've dropped myself off of some boards because they are just too, gosh, I don't know, angry. Most of the ranting on this board winds up with people not hating each other. People here present their views -- many which differ from mine -- in such a manner that even when I'm burned, I don't feel scorched.
I think the intelligence and perhaps tolerance of the average Badwebber is just higher than the general Interneting public.
our vBoard over at MARCCA.com now gets almost zero traffic, after several members insisted on typical "nothing that might annoy a 78yr-old sunday school teacher" type rules.
the regular posters moved on, after having posts deleted, ect. of course, the whiners don't post, unless it's to complain about someone else. the result is a board without anyone on it. makes it easy to MOD, but yaaaawwwwwwn!
once again, cheers and beers to the MODs here, i can't imagine trying to keep up w/ this circus...
