I buy a new muffler, post a pic and sound clip, then it gets deleted from this site? Why? | ||

It might have to do with posting price and seller info. If it was just simply a pic and sound clip with out the semi sales pitch, the thread would still be here. I'm not saying you intended it to be a sales pitch, but that is pretty much what it was. Intended or not. | ||

I sort of see that side of the story. I went back and edited the post to remove price info. I just thought it was nice to have another option for exhausts. | ||

Ya unfortunately the powers that be are very anal/uptight about sales...Basically if you dont pay them money/sponsor you cant even talk money.  So I guess this means no more talking about what you paid for your buell or how much any factory buell parts cost as they dont directly sponsor this site....I mean to flag this guys post and he was not even trying to sell anything is ignorant.So what if he posted amounts people post amounts of homemade mods to their bike all the time without getting flagged....GET OVER YOURSELF TO BAD IF SOMEBODY IS MAKING PARTS CHEAPER THEN YOUR SPONSORS I HOPE THEY SELL THE H311 OUT OF THEM ALSO... Once I asked a plain question about a muffler and was called: stupid, ignorant and few other nice names. Protecting sponsors keeps sponsors. If it weren't for our sponsors, there would be no BadWeB. Pure and simple. Xl_cheese, I'm glad you understand, it wasn't a decision that came easy, quickly, or without discussion. Fastxb12r, if it bothers you that much, please feel free to leave. Sponsors leaving means the end of BadWeB, you leaving means you're not here any longer. While we value all that post and contribute to BadWeB, we have to have rules, and have the rules have to be followed. Sometimes everyone is ok with that fact, sometimes not. While saying things like... .GET OVER YOURSELF TO BAD IF SOMEBODY IS MAKING PARTS CHEAPER THEN YOUR SPONSORS I HOPE THEY SELL THE H311 OUT OF THEM ALSO may make you feel older and wiser than a 12 year old, it doesn't make you look that way. | ||

So, if he's acknowledged the error of his ways and edited the post, can we have it up again? Not trying to buck the system here, I understand the issue and if it's borderline, you still have to make a decision, fair enough. But I was kinda curious about the product and was hoping for some pics, audio, etc. | ||

I didn't see the post before it was edited, but the edited one looked fine. Talked a bit about the pipe, had a sound clip and stuff, but no mention of where to get it or even who to contact about it. Shame the admins killed it but i fully understand why. | ||

Wes/Xl_cheese, Sponsors pay their hard earned money to provide goods, and services, to the Badweb community. If someone wants to compete with them they need to ante up. Blake isn't getting rich, or even making a profit on badweatherbikers -- actually, year over year he's taking a loss on the venture. Fastxb12r, If you're so miserable here then go start your own site and run it however you wish. |
