I have 12 sets of motor mount bolts that available at cost. They are an upgrade from the HD/Buell F911 offering . . .parts #AAO722.1CBZ (bolt 7/16-14 X 2 3/4 inch, $8.47 ea.) and #BA0714.1CBZ (washer 7/16, $.98 ea). I have sent out several dozen sets of these bolts in past years and have not heard any reports of breakage . . .an apparent problem with the F911 bolts. For a more comprehensive explanation of what the Chromate CIC200 fasteners system is about . . http://www.chromate.com/AgentCatalogWeb/Section%2010.pdf These bolts have a high tech coating that should eliminate any corrosive factors in bolt failures. The bolts are 1/4 inch longer than the HD/Buell bolts and may require trimming with a Dremel tool and/or grinder. Price per pair . . .$12.25, includes 2 bolts, two extra thick grade 8 washers, packing and USPS First Class postage. |

Fasted, If you are it is a replacement of your front isolator that you are doing . . ., if I recall correctly it can be done without removing and replacing the bolts from the mount to the head. However, many would argue that with the failures noted in the stock bolts it is best to replace the stock bolts as a preemptive measure. Once they have sheared off you will be replacing them in any case . . .and in some cases you will lose the mount and/or have damage to the head as well. YMMV . . . Don |
