I have the xb9r with the lower pegs.

I'm trying to lower the shift and brake pedals to match.

Shift is okay, pretty sure I have more room to move.

Brake pedal needs to come down about an inch more but I've run out of adjustment. I was hoping that the adjuster rod was a separate brake piece but it doesn't look like it.

Any ideas?

(I hardly ever use it but there will be times.)

Sorry to hijack but thought this might go hand in hand.
I have a XB12S that I just put the R pegs on. I now have the opposite problem you're having. I can't seem to adjust the brake pedal up enough for it to feel right.
I wonder if the master cylinder assembly is different between the 2 model bikes?
Anyone know?

Ok guys, tell me if I'm wrong here.
I was just thinking about this and it dawned on me. There should be plenty of adjustment of the threaded rod on the master cylinder. I should be able to adjust that in or out almost as far as I want. The thing I was worried about before was that the threaded rod would thread out of the U shaped part that's at the end of the rod. I'm thinking if it threads off I can always take the pin out and thread it back on and then insert the pin again. Or I may not have looked at it close enough and it could be that it isn't threaded into the U part at all and could spin on the end all day.
I'll have to look at it tonight.

Well I looked at it tonight. The threaded rod doesn't adjust in and out of the master cylinder like I was thinking. It only threads into the U shaped pivot point at the end of the rod to make adjustments. So I'm stumped. Could it be that the R and the S have different brake levers that would make them higher or lower on each model? Or is it the rod that's a different length on each model?
Sorry I couldn't help you out Iamarchangel.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I just adjusted mine (04 XB12S) a bit the other day and didn't run out of threads so I'm not sure how far you can go.

Iam
I put the lower pegs on mine and also ran out of adjustment. As I was looking at it, the easiest thing looked like just wacking off a bit of the threaded rod. Then my fuzzy old mind started working and I remembered a thread some time back that I think said the same thing.
If I'm wrong one of the sage souls here should speak up and say so, before I mess something up.
So far, as long as it's running and I have time to do anything I ride and just adjust my foot. It gets old after a few miles and I swear I'm gonna fix it(don't use it much, specially since I haven't fixed the rear brake light either)............one of these days.
